The stay started off great. I called them ahead of time and they kindly confirmed we could check-in early which was really appreciated. When we arrived I thought the site was beautiful and we had a great spot overlooking the fields. The WiFi didn’t reach us but we could hot spot on our phones just fine. The site was pretty muddy and the bathrooms we’re clean etc… but then there was very heavy rainfall and we woke up in the morning to find that we had be flooded. It was very stressful. One of the owners drove past and asked if we were leaving as my husband was desperately trying to pack down. We told him we had no choice as the water was rising fast and now knee high deep.He drove off and choose not to help us get out safely to a dry spot. We were lucky we could tow ourselves out. We informed them we would be interested in moving sites and they said they would have to get back to us even though the drier sites near the hill were available!! We decided to leave after no one reached out and stayed at a campground 30 miles down the road. 12 hours later we received a phone call asking us if we had left and if we wanted a to re-schedule the stay. We said no and he offered us a refund on the remaining nights and would call us the next day when he had wrote the check… well we didn’t hear back so took it upon ourselves to drive back there and got him to write a check in person. I understand the flooding wasn’t there fault but the whole situation was...
Read moreWe are FT RVers. I'm a traveling RN. Booked for 6 weeks with option to stay. Pulled in and definitely not a great location, sites small, etc. Ended up staying in a different site than one previously booked. To begin with they state they have WIFI, sorry this is a gross overstatement lol. No WIFI, nbd we realize getting consistent WIFI isnt always a guarantee however I wouldn't advertise this. Then it rained, rained hard. Entire area we were in flooded, up to my calves in disgusting sewage water. We were advised to move obviously, which we did....2 leaches later bypassing a few river snakes we were in a new non flooded spot. 4-5 days later...told we needed to move BACK to the area that had flooded. Now our rig is 16k dry wgt, 40 foot, MOVED back to the flood prone site. A 12-14 foot travel trailer moved into the site we had just vacated....for 1 nite...puhlease. COULDN'T wait to leave this park, what a joke. I just noticed on the website they are offering FHU spots off season for $800 monthly. I mean REALLY? You can reserve off season FHU spots for $700 in much better areas. In closing if you just are Weekenders looking to enjoy the wineries, ok it will suffice but not Long term. Place is overpriced, no amenities and no support staff.
So just curious where my pix went to...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 months for work in area hospitals (Aug-Nov). It’s a new park so the review reflects this - it also takes into account things the owners have zero control over (like tree growth and septic stuff from the brewery (this was fixed and no issues since), and continuing to update sites as issues arise (more gravel, more grass etc). These things will just come with time. It’s going to be primo in years to come.
Pros: Clean, safe, super quiet, on the Katy Trail, next to a great brewery, walking, biking, driving distance to a ton of cute places and wonderful wineries. Great shower house, friendly enough staff, great spacing between sites, large sites, utilities work great.
Suggestions: Needs better WiFi- our hotspots are maxed after 2 weeks. With rates comparable to KOA -Being able to stream some shows is a life saver. Especially for full timers. Shower house needs some hooks at least to put things on. Lastly, a pair of coin operated laundry machines maybe in the future? The closest laundromat is 25 minutes away.
This all being said- it’s an RV PARK. Not a resort. Prepare to have to level a bit (nothing crazy). Prepare for gravel. Prepare to use your awnings or screen rooms for shade. We had a great time here and would...
