Unfortunately, I won't be back.
The atmosphere is nice. The service and the food was not. First, I sat quietly and patiently waiting at the bar to get a drink, and despite being told I would receive service soon (they were busy) after waiting 5-10 minutes very patiently, I watched people who just walked up to the bar get served in under 30 seconds, who arrived 5-10 minutes AFTER me. I was sitting at the bar with my card in my hand, very visible. After seeing two people who just walked up get served after I had already been waiting awhile, I just walked away.
Secondly, after paying $8.99 for fries, when my order was ready I picked it up only to see that the portion I bought was less than a small order of fries at McDonald's. It looked as if someone pinched out of some fries and dropped that tiny portion onto my plate. That's what 9 bucks bought me.
Those two things were enough for me to decide never to come back. Despite the potential and the nice atmosphere, the service and the food was terribly small in proportion, and overpriced.
My experience just a short walk away at Good News Brewery...
Read moreVery underwhelming/bad. I was confused what they’re even trying to do here. Place smelled like number 2, so much so that I had to go outside to not get a headache. The cowboy crack dip was lukewarm solid rotel dip, and some guy had to walk down the street to procure the bag of chips for it. 2 bartenders and my family of 4 was 4 of the 6 people in the building, never was checked on at our table, had to go to the bar to get all of our drinks. Maybe that’s how it works there but when there’s literally no one in the building that’s just bad service in my opinion. The kicker is my mother and sister were drinking iced tea and when we got the bill they were charged for each refill. This was just tea out of an industrial size restaurant tea urn, not bottled or anything. It’s absurd to charge for refills on iced tea, come on. My dad tipped way too much. We went to good news instead of ordering any more food and had a lovely...
Read moreThis little town has alot of charm and some unique places to stop along the way. Circle 6 is located along the Katy Trail and had a bridge that takes you inside their courtyard which offers some shaded spots and plenty of tables to enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat, or some entertainment on a beautiful day. Inside is a bar with lots of seating, tables to enjoy a bite, and a few slots. There is also a store/gift shop/ice cream parlor that offers fresh fruits, vegetables and all kinds of frozen meat. The food here is average bar food, cooked to order out of a food truck that is attached to the side of the bar. Don't get into a rush if you plan on eating here, it's a one man operation. Decent place to refresh yourself if you're bike riding or just on a Sunday drive and passing thru. We were greeted by a nice man seated on the porch, he was just enjoying his day. Nice small...
