Great local campground state run clean convenient near a lot of stuff what more would you want. No you can't have 15 tents and nine cars and there's no partying or staying up all night long yelling and screaming like every other state campground but you can enjoy the outdoors you can get a good night's sleep you can say hello to your neighbors in the morning and you can enjoy a hot shower and a clean bathroom. It doesn't have a pool it doesn't have a playground it's a campground that's it that is literally surrounded by beaches so I don't know why anybody needs a pool but that's not different point.
And I see a lot of people complaining about being out of stator and how high it is well guess what it's the same thing when we go to your states New York wants $100 for a mass resident Rhode Island wants $75 for a mass resident Connecticut wants $80 for a mass resident so you tell your people and we'll tell ours.
If you like quiet and rustic you'll like this place and the staff is awesome. Dude with the glasses...
Read morePassed through here yesterday (Sunday Aug 6,2023) on bikes when we hit the end of the CCRT rail-trail on our way to Wellfleet. This beautiful campground was completely deserted, it was spooky. We asked a nice staff member why? They said they don't have funding to stay open 7 days a week so they close on Sunday....yes a State campground on the Cape was closed due to staffing. Also, signs read "No Bicycles". I think this was to prevent the traffic from the Cape Cod Rail Trail riders from cutting through the on campground roads. Clearly constructed and bicycle barriers between the CCRT and the campground with signs to keep you out. Seems crazy to not allow bicycles in a campground, and even for the kids camping there too? Beautiful camp site, very odd rules. Also, if you plan to use this as a path by walking bikes through please note there are high risk busy roads near and at the crossing Rt 6 to travel by bicycle from the rail trail/campground...
Read moreI saw in the comments that people complain about the prices and when i booked it comes off as a $32 night site fee with a $5 out of state charge but if you really dig through you will find that the out of state site fee is $70 a night plus a fee. So two nights in a state park camp will run you $170 clams. That is kind of high even being out of stater. Especially for the fact that a lot of people use state park camps as a cost savings because private camps are pricy. However checkout Maurice's campground down the road from here, from what I could see ( after booking the state site ) they are $30ish bucks cheaper per night and don't care where you come from. Hopefully, the stay makes up for the price as with state camp. Since they went to that good old Reserve America 3rd party will wack you with cancelation fees also. Welcome to as they say...
