Review for Campground specifically: We came camping here for the second time this summer and I’m once again impressed that for $20 you can get a wooden pavilion, fire pit, grill, Adirondack chairs… and an amazing camping experience! People have been so respectful and kind while we’re here, it’s quiet and peaceful, the hiking trail is beautiful. We’ve heard they stock wood for you, but we’ve had to bring our own both times, so not sure how true it is. We love this campsite. The only downside is that you can’t drive your car up to your site, there’s a small lot you park at, then have to walk to the site but all of them are really close by, and even with a toddler and a good amount of supplies, with a wagon and prep it’s not a problem for us. The pros very much outweigh the cons. Will continue coming back every time to this place!

Hiking Trail Review Mercer Park Blue Trail - 5.1 Miles Trail offers a very large parking lot. Right at the entrance is a very clean and large bathroom with a working water fountain. There is also a playground, dog pen and field at the entrance and an area to camp. The trail itself is well marked and mostly well maintained. Slightly overgrown at certain parts and there are two down bridges at certain parts. One bridge is still crossable but very uneven and slippery. The second part you have to cross via rocks but it’s muddy and very wet. Trail itself is a great walk and has plenty of beautiful views.

No motorized camping vehicles. This was not clear on the website so we arrived with our small camper to a closed gate. We tried to call the park number but no one picked up. We got a hold of the rangers and they said it was ok for us to stay parked outside for the night since we had already paid online for a campsite. But online it’s not clear that this is hike in only. Apart from that the sites are very nice. It says on confirmation that check in is between 1 and 5, which is also not accurate since there is no office to check into so you can come whatever time you want as you just walk in anyway.
