My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at the Langworthy Inn in Westerly, Rhode Island over Labor Day weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for in a way you simply don’t get at larger hotels. The difference was clear: the owner, Rebecca. From pouring glasses of her award-winning wine out back in the winery, to personally cooking breakfast each morning, it’s obvious that this isn’t just a “clock in, clock out” job for her—it’s a true passion project.
The inn itself is full of charm—historic, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully decorated—striking the perfect balance between classic New England character and modern comfort.
We stayed in the Seaview room on the third floor, which was cozy, spotless, and inviting. The thoughtful touches throughout made it feel special rather than just another place to sleep. Mornings were a highlight, with fresh fruit, juice, and coffee, and we were lucky enough to enjoy Rebecca’s delicious homemade French toast.
The location couldn’t have been better. Just a short drive to both Watch Hill and downtown Westerly, we were able to explore beaches, shops, and restaurants with ease, then retreat to the quiet comfort of the inn at night.
What truly set the Langworthy Inn apart, though, was the hospitality. Every interaction felt genuine and warm—like staying with friends who genuinely care about your experience. It made our trip feel personal, memorable, and something we’ll be talking about for a long time.
If you’re looking for a place that combines New England charm, heartfelt hospitality, and a prime location, I can’t recommend the...
Read moreWe stayed in the Governor Ward Suite for two nights. We were pleasantly surprised to find a dressing room between the bedroom and the bathroom. Awesome dual showers. Bed was comfy. The website didn't specify where this room was located. We were on the first floor in the front. We were surprised by the Inn and winery's location on the corner of two busy streets, so street noise was something we didn't anticipate. A/C in the room was loud and leaking. Our room key also opened the side door entrance to the Inn. The front door of the Inn didn't lock. My boyfriend was concerned about security, but everything turned out ok. No window treatments and the blinds didn't fit the windows fully, so felt a little on display considering this was 1st floor. Joe was a gracious host making great breakfasts and providing excellent suggestions and tips for our visit. Murals in the dining room are well done and beautiful to look at. The vineyard was small and we enjoyed the wine tasting but only liked 3 of 10 wines. Westerly white was our favorite wine. We would have preferred a one night stay but 2 nights were required. Joe has done a lot with the property since 1999. I hope he finds a buyer who will propel the business into the future while preserving the best parts...
Read more"Whats not to love?" As a jaded Manhattanite if I didn't find Langworthy the epitome of what a charming, beautiful and quaint B&B is, my husband Gary and I would not have stayed there on 3 seperate occasions in the last few years. The location is perfect, 40 minutes from Newport, Mystic CT and 10 minutes to beautiful Watch Hill Beach. The best part are the hosts, Rebecca and Josh. We would go back just to hang out with them, smart, and fun and just overall nice people. Their hospitality was amazing and so was their fabulous, hearty breakfast. They directed us to new places to eat and tour. We stayed on the 2nd floor in the Colonel Ward Bedroom with a King size bed that was so beautifully made, we didnt want to sleep on it. Oops, forgot to tell about the added bonus, they own a very impressive winery on the property. Can't wait to go next summer!...
