This is the first negative review I have given, but I am extremely disappointed in the poor customer service. Housekeeping removed a bag of dirty clothes from our room. I believe this was by mistake, because who would want my teenage son’s dirty clothes? When we noticed we called the front desk and talked with Kathy. She said they were not going to search for it, and informed me she would leave a note. I let her know we are checking out at 8:00am the next day. She repeated that she will leave a note because housekeeping was gone for the night. I let her know I would be downstairs first thing in the morning. The next morning I went down to the front desk where I was greeted by Crimson. After I explained the situation he informed me he was aware and had heard. He told me he did not know what to do about it. I asked him to call a manager, which he did. Jenna (the woman he called) let him know she would be there shortly. She arrived about thirty minutes later. I waited in the lobby and explained the situation to her. She told me they cannot do anything about it right now. They would need to look into it later. I asked to speak with her General Manager. Jenna called a woman named Jenny who told me she cannot do anything about it because she was leaving to go out of town. So my call must have inconvenienced her vacation. This situations seems like it could have been avoided by a cleaning staff that was paying attention to details or even resolved with a little effort once the staff was made aware of the situation last night. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. In addition to this experience they charge $15 for a plate to go through their breakfast buffet (one trip only). The eggs were cold, the French toast was hard, and the host seemed put out. I did not get her name, because I did not intend to give a review. Since in the past when I gave reviews it was for outstanding service. I am very disappointed and will avoid Wyndham hotels in the future. I will update this review when/if my son’s clothes are returned to us. Thank you for...
Read moreWhile the hotel is modernized with usb chargings ports, multiple device chargers and a Bluetooth enabled mirror that plays anything sound wise, they have some major kinks to work out. The shower is a walk in, but it is poorly designed so that no matter what you do, you are going to drench the floor outside of it. The lighting in the bathroom sucks, and makes it difficult to use for makeup or hair styling, add the fact that there isn’t a fan in there, you’re going to have wait for it to clear out or use a dryer to defog the mirror. Also the bathroom door is a sliding barn styled door and gets stuck in the track, making it difficult to get in and out of-and there’s no door locks for it, so if you have small children beware. The only complimentary item is coffee-and you could peel paint with it. There is an area in the lobby for convenience, but it’s all junk food and nothing useful, so if you need something like medicine or an actual meal, you’ll either have to order food and go downstairs to pick it up, or drive to the nearest gas station. The beds are comfy and they have a 2 pillow to a person ratio, which is nice if you prefer multiple pillows. The room has a closet/drawer unit with a keurig single serve coffee maker with 2 decaf and 2 regular coffee with 4 cups/lids and a couple of packets that contain sugar/creamer and stirrers. There are no bags in the bins which is odd but I get the environmental aspect the hotel is aiming for. There are no vending machines so if you want to get a drink, you’re going to have to go to the lobby and hope that someone who is on duty is actually in the reception area. Did not check out the restaurant/bar portion as it seemed abandoned. The elevators were on the fritz the whole time we stayed, it would shudder and stop and the doors stayed open at one point and they made a horrendous sound. They did a decent job de-icing the parking lot and there was plenty of spaces for parking. Overall I’d rate this adult friendly but not...
Read moreI would have loved to give this 5 stars but had a bad arrival experience. I will say that the hotel redeemed itself after our visit when I received an email from the General Manager apologizing for my arrival experience and for that I am appreciative. Upon arrival time at 3:00 PM the front desk person had a mask on for Covid-19 and the line was set up for social distancing had someone else been there. This made me feel very comfortable. Checked in & was given 4th FL room & proceeded to elevator. Elevator stopped at 2nd floor and 2 men standing there said thank goodness! This elevator is not working and stood here forever! They got on, and we got off with all our luggage due to COVID and us being elderly didn't feel comfortable being that close to someone in a small place. We soon found out the elevator buttons on the 2nd FL would not work or light up, waited forever & was clear it was never going to come. We had to walk down the stairs with all our luggage and for someone elderly this is not easy - then got locked in the vestibule because the doors locked behind us. Finally got outside though the exit door and had to walk around the entire hotel with our luggage past the garbage bins, etc to re-enter the building carrying all the luggage. (Really had to go to the ladies room all this time too from driving so long! Anyone elderly will understand!). The front desk gave us a new 1st FL room but didn't have a King as we reserved & had to settle for a Queen next to the housekeeping. Said it was full on 1st, was hard to believe since it was 3:00 PM and looked empty to us. No apology at the time, but said would call maintenance. Other than that, the hotel was extremely clean, very nice, modern rooms, nice lobby with individual wrapped food items to buy (COVID), nice pool area, video room for the kids (was closed - perhaps because of COVID), and good location short drive to stores, etc. and elevator supposed to be fixed per GM. Check out my photos...
