(Old Montana guy here, who has spent years of his life in hotels all over Montana and the world.)||This is a great hotel that has been refurbished from a Super 8. It's AMAZING!||The rooms are good to great, dogs stay for free! and the hotel actually left dog treats with our dogs name on them, dog beds (2 sizes), and a "dog sheet" for the bed.||We had the larget suite (and largest TV) for five people (3 beds), with two bathrooms. The central area was great to hang out in. ||The staff were unfailingly nice and professional. The lobby area is two stories and has a lot of great art. They did nice "curation" on the books and art - it isn't your usual "cowboys", it includes native american and other's considerations of the West. ||Pro-tips: It is about a 1/2 mile walk to downtown. Watch out for potholes in the roads after dark, there are many. The Lane Bar is a classic redneck Montana bar with pool tables and darts, the Stockmans is a bit more young people fun. ||The one thing I hope staff read: You can turn down the ambient music in the lobby area as the night gets later. Notice that people close the fire door to the upper hallway so they don't have to listen to...
Read moreWe came for a one night ski trip. It was a busy weekend and the hotel had to turn over the whole hotel in one day. They we very polite and apologetic as people checked in and some rooms were not quite ready by the 3pm check-in time. When we checked in they told us our room was ready but accidentally gave us a room that was still being cleaned. But waiting in their cozy lobby with plenty of comfortable chairs and couches, games, and books was not problem at all. They noticed our bags and realized what had happened. They gathered they're cleaning staff to clean our room promptly and again were ever apologetic. When we were able to get into our room there was a note of appreciation and a couple cute stuffed goats for our kids and hats for the adults! We love staying at The Edith for their warm atmosphere, cozy sitting areas, cookies, hot drinks, tasty quick breakfast, hospitality, and clean rooms. It is a welcoming small town hotel with excellent management. We 100% recommend The Edith hotel when staying in White...
Read moreWe stayed at the Edith Hotel for my husband's birthday (13 December 2023). Don't let the "ordinary" exterior fool you... because there are countless clever and beautiful details inside that will delight and inspire you throughout your stay. The decor is super fun (throughout the building) with much thought, curating and creativity involved. The clerk at the desk was lovely and the other employees we met were all gracious and helpful. ||We stayed in a large upstairs suite that slept 8 with 2 bathrooms and an awesome seating arrangement for visiting and playing board games in the evening. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were of various types/consistencies. Towels were soft. Room was clean. ||Breakfast in the morning (main lobby) was great. It reads "Continental Breakfast" but there were all sorts of treats to be eaten and enjoyed. ||We'll be staying here whenever we overnight in White Sulpher Springs for...
