This is such a charming little inn. The 15 rooms have different themes. We stayed in The Water Lily room and it was beautiful. The rooms and bathroom were spotless. The free breakfast in the cozy dining room was home-cooked in a little kitchen when you got there. Then first morning we had fried eggs, biscuits, a sausage patty and gravy. There was a sideboard that had fresh fruit, oatmeal, and bread for making toast. The second morning we were served a red velvet crepes filled with chocolate, strawberries and a sweet cream cheese filling. It was incredibly good! The regular sidebar was there and it also had a delicious egg frittata there with fresh spinach and fresh tomatoes. We will definitely stay there again. It was so peaceful and restful.

My wife and I stayed in the "Red Carpet Room" for two nights and had a wonderful time. Very friendly owners who were happy to provide information and chat about the history of the hotel and the area. The room itself was very spacious with a comfortable bed and decent hot tub. Internet was included and fast enough for Netflix streaming. Best part of the whole stay was the two delicious breakfasts, especially the egg bake and apple crisp French toast. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel/B&B. The rooms are all varied and unique with different local themes. The owners Brian and Bonnie do a wonderful job to ensure your comfort. The breakfasts are included and are very good and the afternoon sweet treats are really good, a nice touch after your exploration of the area shops. Easily located off of Hywy 6, 3 miles (5 miles) from Amana restaurants and shops.

This was my third time staying here and it will be my last 😢 Upon arrival, the owners checked us in but were definitely not as friendly as in the past. That pretty much set the wheel in motion for the rest of our stay. Rooms were only cleaned after check out due to COVID. Lady bugs flying all over our room. We were unable to get our own coffee due to COVID but could use a community toaster at the toasting station at breakfast without regards to COVID contamination. (Makes no sense whatsoever) Breakfast was mediocre at best. Typically, a Bed and Breakfast will serve delicious foods prepared using special thought out recipes. Two mornings in a row, we got cold frozen tater tots for breakfast along with pre-cooked sausage links and mediocre eggs. Again, no friendly conversation by the staff. Our last evening at the hotel, we were visiting in the dining area and at approx. 7 or 8 p.m., the TV was shut off and all of the lights in the common areas were turned down! Not a word from the staff to say goodnight, see you tomorrow, etc. Upon check out, we got "see you soon...or maybe not". Huh?? So...

What a delightful place! We stayed one night in July 2022 while visiting the Amana Colonies. The hotel is clean. Staff very friendly. Bed very comfortable. It’s decorated very “country.” Antiques, seating everywhere, and a nice gathering room. They put out “sweet treats” around 3:00 every day. The afternoon we checked in, they had cherry bars out. So yummy! The next morning, the breakfast was fantastic. Egg casserole, lots of fresh fruit, blueberry pancakes, coffee and juice. No coffee pot in the room - but a Keurig is available in the main hallway all the time. Just a short walk from any room.

The only suggestion might be to upgrade the WiFi. We realize it’s an old building with thick brick walls - but WiFi boosters OR even a second router would help. That’s not a deal killer though … if we ever get the chance to come back to the Colonies, we’ll definitely stay at Zuber’s again! Thank you for a...
