I have rental 2 night from July 21,2018 to July 23, 2018. In the evening time on July 22, 2018 I notice that there was black mold in the vents in the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. I have asthma, sinusitis, allergies, nerve damage and thyroid. I was having breathing issues and not understanding why until I saw this then I knew. I went to the front office to speak with the owner on July 23 around 9am, 2018, which the ladys in the office said it was Vicky Sweet. She did not seem concerned at out. I ask her to come to the room so I can show her because she said she is not going out pictures. When we got there she said it was not black mold, but it was. She swore up-and-down that it was dust. Dust is brown not black, so she had maintenances come to take the vent covers off. I left and then told my husband to go get a picture of the ducks. He was only able to get one because they got an attitude with him and told him to leave the property since we check out already. I went back in the office to show her the picture of the duck and that it is mold. She knew it was. She gave a look like she also knew it was,but she kept denying it and said what do you want me to do. I said will you keep my informed when you sent if off and get it tested that it is mold; will she let me know. I also said will she refund my money if it comes back positive she started laughing and said ya. She never apologized and offer to give me some or all my money back. The lady that works there she said they replaced all the sheet rock and there is no way it could be mold. That moisture comes from the doors being opened and it being on the lake. Read moreMy family and I traveled from Colorado to Willis TX last weekend for a wedding. When we got there and went in the office there were 3 women there. None of the women greeted us. It was like it was a chore to be at work. We then got our room keys. Not once did they ever mention anything about the key cards and not to keep them near our phones. We checked in the room then went downstairs to the hall that the wedding was being held in to help setup. Around 8pm we went back to the room only to find out that neither of our cards worked. After driving all day we were exhausted and just wanted to relax. We then had to call a phone service because it was after hours. We waited for an hour and a half for someone to let us in our room. The receptionist who initially gave us the cards was the one who showed up to let us in our room. At that point I was angry about the situation. She had absolutely no remorse for us and our situation. She said that she would let the manager know and that she would call us the next day. The manager never called. We finally got home on Monday and I ended up calling and speaking with the manager. I have never in my life spoken to someone so cold hearted before. She said that it was our fault for putting the cards in the pocket with our phones when nobody ever told us not to do that when we first checked in. She then said ok and disconnected the call when I was still talking. So I called back and she said that she thought I was done. Really???? This b!+€h really just hung up on me. The place was nice, but it seriously needs new management. Worst customer...
Read moreIt was dark outside when we arrived around 8:30pm to check in. Around 8:45pm we finished checking in and got to the 2 bedroom condo (unit 23) but outside lights were not working on along with the porch lights. That made it fun lugging luggage up to the second floor in the dark. The 2 bedroom condo was frankly dusty and out dated. And it felt dirty even though they said it was cleaned. The light switches we're in strange locations too. When we settled into the condo the staff supposed to have put a crib in our room before we arrived plus we were told at check-in that there's a crib in there. There wasn't and it was past 9pm which is when the main office closed. Our 22 month old son was crying by this time and we were both exhausted from traveling. Half way through the night the air-conditioning unit broke. Yay, again more fun on a very humid night. We called and complained in the morning about the problems. They, at first, didn't have another condo available. Just as were on our way to breakfast this told us we have another unit available. So they helped us move our bags to condo #28. This unit was much better but not perfect. We had issue an with the upstairs tub draining properly and the balcony light didn't work on either condo. We just accepted this and began to try to enjoy the rest of our vacation. I will say the views from the balcony over the water is five stars. Only reason I didn't give this review less than 3 stars. The condos could use some improvement/maintenance especially unit 23. We stayed for a week here. And had a little better luck...
