I reserved a king but given 2 dbls. Reserved on Priceline, for $77. When we arrived we went into the office and and waited 25 minutes for someone to arrive. I tried to speak with the man but he did not understand at all. When we go to the room the smell set me back but office said that there was nothing there, and told that I could not have refund. I ordered Snappy Pizza giving them the address on the phone only to later to find out that the phone did not even belong to the hotel. My husband came and my kids left to go home. When we are getting for bed, he went to dead bolt the door, there was none. So other than the card key there was no lock. So we placed a chair in front of the door. The straw that broke everything was the none stop of vehicle people running down the stairs then run back upstairs. At check-in we were told that there is a $20 cash deposit. I had to go pay ATM fees to get the money. At checkout my room had to be inspected, I got my $20 back. This is an unsafe, very dirty, and horrible customer service. Would sleep in my car before I ever...
Read moreThe room was clean and moderately furnished. No luggage rack but a desk to set suitcases on. Bed was just ok. Squeaky springs and a bouncy mattress. Bathroom was good with sink outside toilet area. || No breakfast tho one is advertised on the building sign. Office was closed at 7:00 am and there was nothing set up inside. We were told at check in that breakfast would be from 6 -9 am. Apparently not. || The biggest problem is that there are no places to eat in Winchester. The Subway next to the motel is closed. The only restaurant in town was also closed tho the sign on the door gave hours tha indicated it should be open. There is an ice cream stand that was open. || We had to go 10 minutes down the highway to Seaman to find a restaurant. We should have stayed there. And my suggestion is - if you are looking to stay in this area, book a hotel in Seaman. Do not stay in Winchester. || It is a cheap hotel but we have stayed in much nicer places for...
Read moreTraveling to Indiana we stopped in Winchester Ohio to stay at the Budget Host Inn. The hotel was very clean. The room smelled quite good, not that usual musty air conditioner smell. The shower had exceptionally hot water and great pressure. Now, for the couple little things. Ice maker was broken. A little replacement was placed in the lobby that help approximately 4 cups of ice. Also, a free breakfast was advertised. I went to lobby looking for the breakfast. Their breakfast consisted of dry, stale cereal There wasn't any juice, milk or coffee available. Guess I was supposed to put water in my cereal. All in all it was a clean hotel. I would stay...
