Never A Dull MomentNever A Dull Moment
No coffee pot, microwave or fridge in room. Very basic plain room. Coffee & microwave are community in hall. And getting up next morning there appears to be a visitor in room-a cockroach! Its winter in Indiana...why is there even a cockroach present at all? If theres one out with the lights on, theres a more serious underlying problem behind the scenes Im afraid. And they have a no refund policy even if you cancel before you get there. You will be charged no matter what. They are the only hotel in town so its not like there are any alternatives unless you drive 20 miles out. Which seems to be a wiser choice as far as this is concerned. I think a refund and/or an upgrade is in order. The pics of main hotel building online are beautiful but they forget to mention there is another building that has rundown filthy rooms that are absolutely unacceptable. To keep cockroaches at bay you must take out your own trash to the dumpster. No housekeeping daily. The blanket is full of fuzz balls & after seeing initial roach, there have been baby sightings. Taking precautions to devert them while sleeping. Water in plugged drains & soap in wet towel over shower drain. Gap under room entrance door so a whole army of who knows what could come & attack in the night-or day as it seems to be. This entire room & building apart from main hotel needs to get leveled & begin anew as no upgrades or refurbs will do it any good. Its beyond help & horrible to be in this environment. Management/Owners know this & do nothing. They should be embarrassed & want to make it right & be known for a top rated motel. As mentioned, main bldg. is not to be compared with the detached rooms that Im sure the Health Dept & Better Business Bureau would & will get an updated report on. And for $100 & more per night is worse than your grandma getting pushed down, robbed & shot or stabbed. Appalling is a kind word after what this room does (and doesnt do.)No help for it but to level it & then it will be awesome & good kind words will be stated then. Sad but very true room experience. I will add that Deb in front office was friendly & makes good lasagna.

Looks nice on outside but very misleading! Light comes in around door. Looks like you have a night light on. Around shower stall wallpaper peeling. Inside shower looks like by door and bottom corners has never been cleaned. Just nasty 😷! Also we bought ice cream put in freezer woke up in morning and it was liquid, not frozen! Room 301 is a $36.00 dollar a night room that they charge $100.00 a night for with taxes.

Yes. Best place to stay if you're working in the area. The king suite is a step above a Holiday Inn Express. Bathroom w jet tub separates a living room with couch, chair and ottoman, TV, fridge and microwave area from the bedroom with desk and TV. Kids would enjoy the small pool. Continental breakfast. Meeting room. Served cookies at the front desk. Roots restaurant next door is good.

Night from h... you’ll want to read. PAPER THIN WALLS. UNFRIENDLY STAFF. VERY DISAPPOINTED. $120 later I didn’t get to use the pool and check out at 12:45am. I stayed on the third floor, room 303, last night. I am from the area and thought it couldn’t hurt to have a little get away to relax. BOY was I wrong. I checked in around 3:30, the staff was NOT POLITE, And was NOT happy to be there. There was a birthday party going on in the banquet room. NO BIG DEAL. The pool had about 20 little ones in it so I decided for us to go get dinner and then come back and try the pool. At around 5:30 we went back down to the pool where there were probably still 10 little kids and I agreed to just hang out in the deep end. NO BIG DEAL. The party was over they would leave shortly. Around 5:45 the lobby starts to fill up with high schoolers, there must have been another birthday party. They were blowing up beach balls and I volley ball net so we decided we will try again later. NO BIG DEAL. We went to our room where the only reason I’m giving this 1 star is because the room was clean and it doesn’t give me any option for 0 stars. We watched some TV and then around 10pm which is “QUIET TIME” it all started.. both birthday parties must have been checked in to stay two doors down from me. NOT A BIG DEAL. I was young once and I probably was loud with my friends. So we gave it until 11pm. We had to get up at 5:30am The girls were literally screaming, playing music in and running down the hallway. EVERY FIVE MINUTES. I heard the staff say something to them once.this went on until around 11:15 AND THEN people started fighting I’m not sure if it was the people across from me or the girls down the hall but some adult was cussing and yelling and then it sounded like a girl was sobbing out side of our door at 12:30a. I called the front desk 6 times with no answer during all of this, which is funny because right on the information you are given it stated that you could call if there was a noise complaint. I finally packed my bag and went to the front counter where there was a radio to call someone. So I did. Finally after waiting for 10 minutes, the time is now 12:45am a woman shows up and says “what’s wrong” no greeting, no smile, just “what’s wrong” do I asked her if she was just in the 3rd floor and she says no that she already went and told them to be quiet. I explain to her everything that’s going on and if I could get a refund. THEY DONT DO REFUNDS. They won’t do anything about it. All she wanted to do was move me to the first floor which IS WHERE THE TEENAGERS BIRTHDAY PARTY WAS STAYING. We heard them standing in the lobby. I know the owner of this facility and I am absolutely shocked that her staff can treat people like this and that the noise policy is not taken seriously AT ALL. Over all horrible experience and SUCH a...

There were MANY of us here this past weekend in town for my Dad's Memorial/Celebration of Life (held next door at Roots). The entire reason I am giving this review 5 stars is because of the staff, in particular, Cathy and Deb.||First, about the property. It's on the old side although it's been fairly recently renovated/updated. It is VERY clean. Yes, because of its age you can sometimes hear other guests but they front desk staff do their best to handle any noise complaints. Our daughter was next to an extremely rude and obnoxious guest who was very inconsiderate. They did tell her if he kept it up they'd evict him (she chose not to push it since he was very aggressive).||The breakfast was fine, and they kept it continually replenished (available from 6 - 9:30, we were there towards the end of that time and there was always plenty).||As mentioned above, the staff went above and beyond. One night a group of 15 or so of us used the breakfast area to visit and eat pizza (delivered). Cathy provided us with plates, napkins, etc., and even came out later with a special treat for our two youngest family members. The next day, Deb went above and beyond to help us secure the conference room at zero cost so we could continue visiting and celebrating my Dad (someone else had taken over the breakfast area that afternoon so we had nowhere else to gather).||One thing to be aware of. Internet RSVPS are made via a third party so if there is any issue with the rates upon checking in, the front desk can't do anything about it (I booked two rooms within 1/2 hour of another and one room was $30 more per night than the other (exact same type of room)). This was frustrating but not the...
