Twilight Zone style monologue
Picture this; you're on a cross country motorcycle trip. A light drizzle turns into God's morning after binge drinking rain. You can't see 20 feet in front of you and your glasses are completely fogged over. You take shelter in a gas station. Google says the closest place to bed down is 50 miles away and no one answers the phone. The gas station is closing soon and someone tells you about a new lodge in town. You call over and over with no avail... than finally, with all hope lost, it rings, "hello?" Trying to hold your excitement, you ask for a room and they're just down the road. You've entered, The Winchester Lake Lodge.
The room was just redone and had all amenities, clean, and fashionable. If we weren't on a deadline for our trip, we would have stayed there for our vacation. The owners, Larry and Patti, were amazing! They were hospitable and went out of their way to help us in our desperate need of shelter. After they gave us space under the RV parking for our motorcycles we ended up hanging out together at the bar swapping stories and buying each other drinks. The town is small but very lovable with everything you need for a quiet get away. The people are great and easy to get along with! We immediately felt at home In the warm, cozy and incredibly inviting environment that Larry and his wife Patti have set at this beautiful location. Each room is filled with its own amazing and elegantly crafted personality. We were able to tour some of the rooms and it was easy to see even at a cursory glance that these lovely people put their hearts, minds and souls into this place. Clearly attention to detail was in the forefront of their thoughts when they designed the living quarters. This same heartfelt attention did not stop simply in the way the space was decorated as the amenities for couples and families were just as well thought out. Somehow they were able to balance modern amenities with traditional spirit and tones and the result is such that one is unable to find the right words to express the wonder that staying here brings. Larry and his wife were some of the most pleasant and helpful people I have ever encountered. Everything was kept immaculate in the rooms and yet never once felt sterile or unfeeling. Simple complexity filled with class and style. This place has soul and the only way to truly feel the energy... the amazing vibe of this place, is to experience it...
