Trails rest — Hotel in Winona

Hard to describe. Comfy bed & clean room. It is an old roadside motel that has been nicely updated considering what they had to work with. But it was a mixed bag of which I’ll give a few examples. The bathroom area & shower were very small with a painted concrete floor but the shower head worked better than the Hilton we stayed in last week. It was nicely appointed. The wall decorations, furniture, bed, pillows, carpet, etc were all good. Although it had blackout curtains, the room was not dark because of the light coming around the edges of the curtains. Great little gem of a motor lodge not far off I-70. The price is much better than surrounding hotels. Nestled between a great cafe and the town park, you can eat out or have a picnic. The table in the room is plenty big enough for a nice dinner in, as well.

I enjoyed how soft everything was... soft bed, pillows, sheets, blanket, chairs. I slept better than anywhere. (My spouse found the bed too soft. So if you like it firm, it might not be the best fit).

I would suggest a non-slip shower mat. Also, maybe a pressure-adjustable shower head, as the pressure is a bit too high.

I can't say enough how amazing this place was! Me and my son stayed here i was passing through and I drive all over the united states. This is by far the be at place I have stayed at! So clean and you can feel the love that is put into the room to make the guest feel at home!!! Ashley has an amazing attitude and very friendly!
