I have to say that I was apprehensive having read some questionable reviews regarding the cleanliness and security of the location. I had actually booked at another hotel but after charging me for 2 nights (and not refunding my money) the other hotel called and told me no rooms were available for me. I booked at this location as last resort with the hopes that it wouldn't be as bad as the reviews. I have to say, much to my suprise I see no real validity in the negative reviews. Every member of the staff that i interacted with have been amazingly nice and accommodating. The housekeeping staff and maintinance personnel are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of speaking to. The front desk allowed me to check into my room early, which I massively appreciate. We had been driving for 7 hours and were exhausted by the time we arrived. He could have easily told me check in time is at 3 but instead smiled and said, its ok i can check you in now. The housekeeping staff were working in another room when they saw my husband and i carrying stuff into the room. The staff immediatly told me there was only one towel set in the room and to give them just a few min and they would grab us more towels since there were 2 of us, which they did.
The bed is actually comfortable which is hard to find. The other guests that I have seen are pleasant and i have seen noone hanging out around room doors, in the hallways, or the parking lot, which was something that concerned me from a previous review.
It is an affordable hotel, the rooms are standard rooms, the property is VERY clean, the people are AMAZINGLY NICE, and the other guests are pleasant. During a pandemic when people are apprehensive to travel i couldnt have asked for a more comfortable place to stay. The only advise that I would offer to the owners is to replace the pillows. Some of them are noticeably worn out. But I do I travel with my own pillows so I'm all set.
I would recommend this location to others and I will stay here again.
Thank you to the staff for making our stay a...
Read moreVery bad experience. I stay at choice hotel brands, and have always been pleased. I didn't make a reservation, stopped in around 2. Owner/manager said he had nothing for a few more minutes to come back in 15. I came back in 30, now a girl at the desk seemingly unsure what to do. She started to check for vacancies, he the manager shouted. We have no vacacies. All booked up. I reminded him he told me he did and to come back in 30, he yell "jeez give me time to breath". Had I not driven five hours from SC I would have walked out then but decided just to check what choice brands were in the Andrea and to book. Who was the only one with five rooms available? Yes roadway, made the booking, walked back in and was told no reservations. I said I have one to which they could only reply I guess we have have a vacancy. Reservation was for two beds non smoking which switchboard said they had but was told they only had the king smoking Room smelled, moldy, sketchy characters all night long knocking in your doors. And even at check out, we overslept, so housekeeping was at the door asking if staying. I asked for a thirty min later check out, she said we don't do check ouy. Husband called front desk to ask asked we were given the thirty extra mins. Housekeeping came back knocking in three minutes "time to check out" , she said. We told her we were given thirty minutes to which she replied "well he can come clean this room then." (We are asked couple, ex military, very clean with no kids) so doubt she had more than one trash can, towels and sheets as the worse. I'm Diamond elite member who has been with choice hotels for nearly ten years and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Later realized it is no more than a "slightly" renovated motel six with all the motel six class;...
Read moreI stay there three nights, two initially, and one afterward. The first two night I got a smoker room that was discussing. Sheets had holds from cigarret burns. Suprisingly, I enjoy my two nights in this room quitetly. The third night I was in room 106. This was a very nice room, very clean. Quietness was a different storey. The people staying in the next room were extremely loud. There must have been three or four people there that talked throughout the night with no regard for the rest of the people staying in the rooms near them. I could hear doors Bering slammed. One one point I herd them having sex. I had to take something to be able to sleep and keep some music going at the same time. At one point I called the front desk to complain about it (it must have been at about 1:30 am). They said a security guard was sent to check. I don't know if they actually sent some one. My gues is that nobody came to look into the situation because the noise continued as before. Other problems I notice was the presence of police, two police patrol car kept coming and going throughout the my last day at the hotel, and through our a portion of the night, at least till midnight.
I would say that if you absolutely must stay at Rodeway Inn on North Patternson ave to consider better options. I wouldn't stay at this place if I was a companies by children. It is just...
