The room was very spacious and most importantly clean. Keep in mind, this is a small town of about 1200 people. We were happy there was a motel. The person who answered the phone was very polite, personable and knowledgeable.||What you should know:||This motel is located on a truck busy highway. We had a room closest to the highway and did not notice the noise. ||There is no lobby. A person checks in/out at the nearby convenience store. Reservations are made via telephone to the same place.||The in-room refrigerator is the smallest I have ever seen. Would not be suitable for a family. Ice is available for purchase at the convenience store.||Microwave - yes.||Shampoo and soap - yes. Conditioner - no. Towels are in ample supply. ||There was an iron - no ironing board.||Coffeemaker - no, but supplies to make coffee were there.||TV remote worked to turn off/on. Volume control did not work.||When we checked out, I mentioned to the lady at the convenience store, there was no coffeemaker in the room. Her reply was, "I don't know anything what goes on over there". So could you make a note of it for someone else? Didn't see a note being written. My question is, since reservations, check in/out are made there, why wouldn't everyone at the convenience store know what goes on "over there"?||Yes, we will stay there again, because we have no other options unless we stay in another town, which is not...
Read moreA first glimpse at Cattlemen's might be quite deceptive. It's a small scale motel that offers a comfortable, clean, and updated stay all for a small output of cash for the night. Bed was comfortable although I prefer something a bit higher off the floor, but nonetheless comfortsble. Bathroom was clean, well stocked with towels and wash clothes, with the toilet and tub/shower behind a door and the sink separate from that and a part of the room. The vanity was long and I noticed an updated hair dryer was available. Water pressure was good with plenty of hot water. There were two queen beds in my room and still a lot of room left available. Present was a small round table with four chairs. The TV had good reception and a lot of channels offered. Heat in the room was handled by one of those wall units below the large picture-window. Controls to handle the heat were straight forward and effective. I'm assuming in the hotter months that the AC would be handled as easily. Although skeptical upon my first stay here that I had to go "across the street" to the Shell station to check in, it adds to the simplistic charm of the place. And it gives you an opportunity to stock up on whatever provisions you might be needing. Check in was quick and I just left the key in the room as I left in the morning. For a clean, CHEAP, comfortable place to get a night's rest don't overlook...
Read moreWorst hotel ever! U can NEVER get any sleep there! U can literally hear the traffic all day and all night because thebmotel is right next to the heavy traffic. Beds are NOT comfy at all. Yes the truck stop runs this motel right next to it but it's beyond ridiculous. I would highly suggest go somewhere else to sleep. It's even hard to find this motel when...
