I usually do not right reviews but I feel this information will be helpful to others. We (family of 3 , my husband, myself and son 17w/family friend) stayed here from Sunday to Wednesday good thing as the sites are extremely close to one another. We decided to stay in the 2 room(6 man cabin) giving us a little more room. Positive it was cute, set kinda by itself and clean. It had a tv and small fridge which came in super handy. It also had ceiling fans which helped cool things down. Issues: It was advertized as having 2 full size beds w/a set of bunks. The only 2 photos they had was outside and inside but only a corner. The second bed is not a bed but a futon. A very uncomfortable worn out one at that. Not clean and it was stained on the opposite side(I discovered as i flipped it to see if it made a difference),it didn't have a vinyl cover like the beds but a absorbing type swooshy material. I had the joy of trying to sleep on this and I had no sleep my body hurt and im still paying for it. The futon even tipped over as it's not sturdy while open and hangs to far over the supports I mentioned this issue after the first night it was said they would talk to owner and i should stop by later that day. I did not arrive til later that day so I did not stop in, it started to get dark. But there was nothing done or no note on door. I did mention it a couple more times and a phone call after I got home.
Be careful of the yellow jackets must be a nest around. Small nest in the eve of the deck. Also be careful from the acorns above yes It is the woods but they hit hard. Your vehicle and your body will get it. Leaving nice little welts and dents..my 2017 truck and hubby got it.
Our free standing grill was loose. And tippy on one corner. It wasnt just a spinning head grill as stated by the owner when I addressed it it actually tipped to the right corner if moved a little. Great with hot coals in it. We just had to make sure we were super careful.
Another thing was the cost be careful you are charged extra for children over 16 and charged each day. That is not on your estimated stay even though you put your information in the computer. It does not add it up. So you pay a base of 97.89 a night in a 6 person cabin for 2 people then additional 10 a person so now for 2 more people add a additional amount of $20.00 a night So now we are up to $117.O0 a night(wow) plus your fee for a pet only $10 the full stay so add another 3 now your up to $120 plus taxes of $5.00 now up to $125.00 a night for a 2 room cabin for 4 people +1 small dog with no bathroom or running water in cabin. You do have electric. My point you do not know the full amount til you get there. Yes it States it small fine print additional charges may apply but it makes it like it gave you a estimate for your stay as you added it in your reservation.
One more issue was the cost of the bikes you can rent..sadly it was $7.00 for a half hour or $12.00 for a hour. In my opinion that was costly. They were fun but also wow. I didn't bring that much more $$ with me. For 3 people we spent $26.00 for 2 people renting a half hour and 1 person renting for a hour. So be prepared to spend more $$. The pros: The grounds and bathroom were clean and all the workers were extremely friendly. Which sometimes is hard to come across at campgrounds. Will I stay here again probably not unless things change. The expences are extremely high for the accommodations and the bed issue really set me over the edge. As a child we were seasonal campers. Then as I got older we did quit a bit of tent and rv camping at many places so we are not knew at it. First time renting a cabin just thought a little treat would be nice. I'm not a prude or expect over and beyond service but do expect to get what is advertised also I do expect clarity in a reservation and not all the additional fees even though you put in your information. It's...
Read moreI wanted to like this place. I wanted this to be a place that my family wanted to return to. But I can’t say that we will be back. Like many other reviewers have said, the noise is such a major problem at this campground.
It’s not the highway noise. I was aware of that going into it. It’s the other campers! The tent sights are literally piled on top of each other with no natural dividers of trees or bushes, whether you’re in the upper side of the campground or the lower wilderness section, so when you get bad luck and inconsiderate neighbors, you’re going to be miserable. The upper sections for tents have some trees cover (171-180, 90-100), but it honestly seems like a refugee camp in some areas with no visible divider between sites in a patch of grass. The lower wilderness section of tent sites is pretty rocky, so make sure you have a mallet to hammer in your tent stakes gently or you’ll bend them all. 132, 134, 136, and 142 are on slanted ground and so close together. You could literally be staring at each other awkwardly close.
Also like others have mentioned, quiet hours are ignored (which start at 11pm, by the way, which I think is way too late for a “family” campground), even though they are clearly posted in the bathrooms. Coolers slamming all night. Car doors slamming all night. Car doors chirping from unlocking and locking all night. Loud people laughing and shouting all night. Glass bottles being tossed into trash bags all night. And keep in mind how close you are to these people. Cigarette smoke blowing into your tent. Weed smell blowing into your tent at night (and all day for that matter). This was not a relaxing family getaway into nature.
Positive aspects of this campground were the wood delivery, trash pickup, friendly older ladies working the register in the camp store, an okay playground (minus the silver slide… that think is an accident waiting to happen for younger children), a cool jumping pillow, pizza delivery, a clean pool, and bathrooms that literally stole the show.
Even if we had quiet neighbors, I’m not sure we’d still come back to camp with how close the the tent sites are. I hope this review helps other families make...
Read moreWe spent six lovely nights at the Lincoln/Woodstock KOA. This is a clean, safe, and fun yet relaxing campground convenient to all of the attractions and hiking New Hampshire’s White Mountains have to offer. We enjoyed our stay very much! If you have kids, there are tons of activities for them at the campground – just check out their website for a complete list. ||Our full hookup RV site (#170) was on the outskirts of the campground and had big shade trees but also got full sun in the late afternoon/evening. We had great Wi-Fi, good water pressure, and we did not experience any sewage odors even though the dump station was nearby. The main bath and shower facilities were probably one of the cleanest I’ve seen in all the campgrounds I’ve been to. They have two dog parks. ||There is a very nice camp store with useful items and gifts. I used the laundry facilities, which were hygienic and operational. If you buy wood from the campground, they deliver it to your site. They pick up your garbage and recycling if you put it on the edge of your site. They do this quickly too! I think one of the camp workers must have a sixth sense about when garbage is ready for pick up because it is gone before you know it. ||Speaking of camp workers, everyone we interacted with was kind and super friendly. In fact, many seasonal sites are occupied by part-time camp workers. I believe that because so many of the employees live here for the season, they take extreme pride and ownership of the campground. It is reflected in the excellent condition of the campground and how they treat guests. ||Lincoln/Woodstock KOA is where you can come to hang out and relax with a group of friends/family and just chill around the campfire, read, craft, play games, go hiking, or sunbathe at the pool. Or it can also serve as a great basecamp for all the outdoor activities, attractions, and touristy things to do in New Hampshire’s...
