I came here only to realize that i had accidentally booked for three weeks in advance. Normally this shouldn’t be a problem, but they don’t refund, even three weeks in advance.
The lady at the reception was very kind and although she didn’t speak english, she tried her hardest to understand my broken spanish.
I didn’t mind changing my dates as the hotel was currently full but she didn’t have access to the availability for the coming weeks which I found odd, and the manager/was no where to be found.
I left, uncertain as to what would come of my reservation and luckily found a lovely place much further from the beach were after a day or two, I was able to amend my reservation on booking.com without response from the hotel manager.
When I finally returned, I was excited to be back near the beach and went to pay but the payment would not go through. They quickly gave up trying to make it work and stated that my card was dead…I had just used it 20 minutes prior.
Once again, the manager/owner was not there and I doubt that he ever is, which is strange considering it was high season and he left only one person at the desk who did not have any of the tools she needed to do her job properly. Upon, them stating that my card would not be accepted and that they would keep the 400 dollar charge that I agreed to upon making the reservation, I was absolutely shocked that they would think about going ahead and pursuing it, saying there was nothing else they could do.
Right after, I went and found a different hotel and paid with that same card for a higher price and it went through directly.
Avoid this place as they obviously don’t know how to run a business with proper service, and honestly, it is a burst of unnecessary stress that no one needs...
Read moreI booked this hostal one day in advance and got the last room available, to my surprise it was the best room in the hostal!!||The room was VERY spacious, the closet was decent sized, it even had a jacuzzi!! The room on the top floor had 2 decks with a table, a couple of chairs and two sunbathing stretchers. The view was also pretty nice, you can watch the sun go down while chilling on the deck.||There were a couple of downsides though. The room is a bit noisy (the hostal is located on the main road - ruta 10 - where cars pass by all day and night, and they were redoing the room beside mine, so during the day there was a bit of noise due to that) and bright. Also the breakfast that's included is very simple, not that it bothered me much, there was bread and butter so it was fine by me, but I think it's worth mentioning.||The staff if very much friendly, always asking if I needed something and if my stay was being pleasant. ||All in all I thought it was a very good stay and fair priced also, I would definitely go back to Hostal...
Read moreWe planned to stay here for 5 nights but we left after just one night. We booked the suite or loft room or how it was called. The room had just been refurbished. Probably they finished painting the room the same day we arrived. You could barrely breathe in it. It was terrible. The entire hotel was still under construction. Many lights did not work. Also, you have no safe in the hotel room. Furthermore, breakfast was terrible. We were so disappointed. Also, the hotel is directly on the big street and so the room was very noisy, even though it was the room farthest away from the street. We can at least say, that the staff was very friendly. And they just charged us for one night even though they would have been entitled to charge for the second night too (24 hour cancelling policy). But we would definitely not go back here. Also because the hotel is very expensive compared to much nicer hotels in the area, which are much more clean, much more quiet and at a more...
