Hostel Vente al Diablo — Hotel in Punta del Diablo

This hostel is owned by a very nice couple from Argentina, whom will certainly do all they can to make your stay a pleasurable one (in fact, they actually built the place from the ground up with the help of a friend!). They keep somewhat of a hippy atmosphere, with people hanging around a fireplace at night. If people happen to drink a little too much or just get too excited about their conversation, be sure that it may become a little too noisy (loud enough to disturb your sleep). We booked a private suite, which was somewhat tiny but equipped with a television and air conditioning (and, if you are here during summertime, you will need an air conditioning working!). It felt clean enough, but could be maintained in better shape given the rates being charged. For some reason, we could not lock the door whenever we were inside the suite (which was awkward, but not necessarily an issue). You will likely not be able to properly shut the little windows, so be prepared to have light slip into your room early in the morning. We had a great time with the hosts, but could have used a more comfortable room...

Me and my partner both speak spanish and we were here towards the end of the high season. It started so well, as the manager was at the bus station picking up possible people to host - we took the chance and had 3 great days in Punta del Diablo. Vente al Diablo is one of the best places where you can stay if you care for a friendly, relaxed, no-luxury but close-to-nature house! Ignacio/Nacho, Judi and Romina will make you feel welcome. Clean areas, nice simple breakfast but enough, epic outdoor chill area with beds in the shade, good music on! You can hear the sea all the time, less than 5 min walk to the beach. O proprietário é realmente muito gentil, mas assim que entramos já se percebe que a estrutura do hostel não é das melhores. ||É todo de madeira, então esteja pronto para ouvir chão e paredes rangendo enquanto houver pessoas acordadas. As paredes são finas como papel, então se ouve nitidamente quando estão conversando na cozinha, ou do lado de fora. Ficamos numa suíte privada no segundo andar, e há uma grande fenda no chão no canto esquerdo, que fica SOBRE o banheiro do primeiro piso. Não é possível ver nada, mas ouvir (e sentir o cheiro) já é mais que suficiente. Nesta mesma suíte, há um buraco no canto superior direito, que dá no quarto coletivo. Quando acendem a luz lá, iluminam-se os dois quartos. A cama eram três colchões de casal empilhados, apesar de bom para dormir, causava uma péssima impressão. As janelas possuem apenas os vidros, assim como a porta, e são cobertos por uma infinidade de cortinas, o que deixa o quarto meio claustrofóbico. Não há ar condicionado e apenas uma das janelas tem proteção contra mosquitos. Ficamos sem água quente nos chuveiros duas vezes, o que foi meio inconveniente.||Enfim, tem tudo para ser muito legal, uma boa atmosfera, o dono tem extrema boa vontade e genuíno entusiasmo com os hospedes, mas...
