The hotel has a very nice, spacious reception that looks very inviting. However, as soon as you are given your keys and walk through the door that's where the facade ends.||||They are quite clearly in the middle of renovation works and the corridors are stripped bare with random holes in the floor.||||The room itself was ok and looked like it had benefitted from the work being done. However from 2am onwards there was a really loud noise (either a generator or an air conditioning unit) that started up every 5 minutes. Not much sleep was had.||||Breakfast wasn't up to much. Read moreThe main lobby of the hotel gives a great impression but the rooms were very basic and a little shabby to be honest. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice in Uruguayan standards. Location was pretty central although there isn't much to do in Salto apart from the thermal baths. If you decide to go you can catch a bus directly there from right outside the hotel for 20 Uruguayan pesos if I remember rightly, which is about 50p. La ducha (que para mí es un punto crítico de toda estadía) era excelente. ||Fui a Salto para una salida de observación de aves que es una actividad que siempre requiere madrugar. El personal comprendió esta situación y encontró la forma de darme un muy buen desayuno más temprano de lo estipulado (al día siguiente disfruté el desayuno completo en el horario habitual). ||Encontré tres lugares agradables donde comer a menos de 300 metros del hotel.||Dos veces salí a hacer largas caminatas por la costanera, que es preciosa, y en el camino pude observar la interesante arquitectura de la ciudad, desde casas antiguas a bóvedas del Ing.
