We arrived late evening (October 2022), and while the checking in process was managed efficiently, that is the only part that we can say had a positive spin.... We were first booked into room number 1101. Oh what a disaster!!... no sooner were we in the room, when we noticed dirt on the floor, paint flaking off the wall, no towels, broken shower door handle, and tiles in the shower that were broken with exposed pipes, and to crown it all the safe was locked (it boggles the mind that a room could be so dirty so late at night as there would have been sufficient time to have housekeeping clean it before our arrival). We called the front desk to report all of the above and were promptly moved to room 1001. Just as we were about to settle in to the new room, we discovered that the hand basin in the bathroom had no plug, which would make shaving impossible. The extractor fan did not work, again, the safe was locked and the toilet seat was broken. We again contacted the front desk, we were moved for a 3rd time, to room 605. This room also had defective features such as no chairs in the room, ( yet the picture on the website shows chairs and tables), the toilet also had issues and the safe was locked again, and we then up for the first time that the safe was not bolted to the wall - this logic is astounding! as how can you then call it a safety box; if anyone who gains access to your room can just pick it up and walk away with all your valuables..... The illogical answer given "we have cameras on all our floors which helps"!! by the time anyone arrives at the scene, the potential thief would be long gone down the back stairs.|To crown it off, when we opened our bedside draw, we were shocked to find that it had used toothpicks and paper.|We were offered the opportunity to move to a 4th room, however this was in an even worse state.|With regards to the Breakfast, this was a total disgrace! We generally eat a light breakfast - which in this instance run out of breakfast cereal!, no butter, zero food to eat with the toast - the excuses provided for no cereal was that they only purchase once a week. To add further insult, as you walk out of the dinning area the door to the kitchen was wide open and the staff were busy eating their breakfast.... this to my mind indicates total disregard and lack of care for paying guests. |This hotel is supposed to be non smoking, however when we first walked into the hotel the smell of cigarettes was very prevalent. When we addressed the smoking with the on duty manager she indicated that they have signs which advertise no smoking and that they can not help it when guests disregarded the signs. We pointed out that this was very illogical given that directly below these signs are ashtray stands, which thus provides conflicting message to guests, if the hotel was serious about the hotel being non smoking then all they needed to do was remove the ashtrays. Thankfully our Tour company, once they were made aware of the multitude of problems immediately moved us to the Cicilia Hotel which is a superb hotel and one that takes the comfort of guest seriously -( see separate review). The position of Alisia hotel might well be close to the beach, with a great sea view, however the surrounding area leaves much to be desired as we noticed sizeable rats running in-between the open spaces and overgrown parts. Very far from most areas.|The staff at this hotel in some senses tried to do their best, however, this hotel is well beyond redemption. Please don't believe the pictures that are posted on hotel booking websites and reference of it being a 4 star when in fact it is a 3 star which if there was such a structure, should...
Read moreI was able to get this sweet deal of the King Suite looking out to the glistening beach front, allowing us to look over the water and mountains in the far distance. Upon arrival I was greeted by the one of the staff, opening our car door and took care of our luggage. When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly staff with a glass of sweet and refreshing pass fruit juice. It was delicious and felt like an entry drink to paradise. The check in was quick and efficient. ||||When heading up to the room, the lifts were looking a little outdated but works perfectly. When we got inside the room, the first thing that came to my surprise was that I did not expect the bathroom to be this small for such a big room.||||The bathroom includes a bath and a built in shower head next to it. The hose does not extend very far or I guess they did not expect to have customers that are my height(I am 6"1)? And if you pay close attention, you will notice that once you extend the shower hose to it's max, the ends of the hose had already started to rust. The bath tub is probably made by some kind of fiber glass/ plastic. When I(me being a family big guy)stood in it, it almost felt like it was going to crack at any moment. I was skeptical to stand so I sat on the side instead. When I sat down on the edge of the tub, I also realized that the plastic filling between the marble and the tub were all cut up which intensified my worries of accidentally breaking the bath tub. ||||The room overall came with all the basics; a king sized bed, huge blanket, 4 big pillows, a medium sized closet, teas, waters, coffee, mini fridge, flat screen TV, a cushioned bench, a cushioned chair, small wooden table and a big great view of the beach, mountains and boats. ||||||My booking also came with a breakfast buffet per guest that was staying here. I did not get the chance to go to this because I was exhausted from the previous night.||||This hotel also has a pool and small bar at the roof. The roof has a great view of the small buildings surround thr city areas of Da Nang and the great beach strip that cover a long distance. ||||Since it was harder for us to grab a cab, we decided to get the staff to help us out and order a Grab car(it's like uber but you can pay in both cards and cash) which took us to our destinations swiftly and safely. It was cheaper than normal cabs as well, definitely reccomend people who are coming to download the App and use it here, it could be very resourceful. ||||||||||This hotel also puts one of their staff overnight. They sleep on a small metal rack in front of the TV at the Lobby every night when all the other staff are off duty. They take care of any of your needs 24/7. ||||||The staff here were, welcoming, warm, efficient and were really prepared to take care of our needs. ||||For what it was worth I would definitely reccomend people to check it out...
