Overall I would say the hotel is nice. It is a new hotel so all the facilities are nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was good and we also tried the food at the beachfront restaurant for lunch, which was also amazing. Our booking package included daily complimentary spa and the masseuses demonstrated great skills. I was initially going to give this a 5 star rating, only to have my overall experience thoroughly ruined by the spa manager on my second last day.
To begin with, we enrolled in an aerial yoga class that morning. On the hotel brochure, it did say the ‘intensity level’ is 3 stars but the written description of the class clearly states it’s for ‘all levels’. So given me, my mum and sister do frequent yoga (despite never trying aerial yoga), we enrolled in the class. Also, when we enrolled in the class with the receptionist, there was no mention of the class being ‘difficult’ or there’s a certain requirement to enrol. The class was supposed to start 9:30am and we got to the spa (same as where the aerial yoga class was held) at 9:20am. The receptionist told us to wait and then directed us to go into the classroom at 9:25am. There was no one in the classroom, neither other students nor the instructor. We waited until 9:40am and decided to go out to the reception to enquire. Shortly after, perhaps around 9:45am the instructor (whom we later learned is also the spa manager) showed up and instead of apologizing, she just bluntly said ‘Oh I saw you guys actually. And since we started late, we will end the class late.’ To be honest, I was quite shocked by her ‘matter-of-fact’ attitude but I decided to disregard it as it was afterall just 15 minutes of tardiness. Upon learning it’s our first time doing aerial yoga, she insisted it is an advanced class. I explained to her I thought it says it’s for all levels, and I’m happy to not attend the class if she felt it was inappropriate. She did not respond to my offer, but instead proceeded to find the brochure and showed it to my face that there were ‘3 stars’ shown in the intensity level. I personally find this interaction rather unfriendly and uncomfortable. Throughout the conversation I offered to leave the class twice if she felt it was inappropriate to proceed but she disregarded it. It almost felt like she deliberately wanted to keep us there to give us a hard time. She then claimed that we need to sign a declaration form (basically declaring if we incur any injuries it’s not her liability) and again, I stated that we were happy oblige. And the funny thing was, she fidgeted around the classroom for a while and failed to find this ‘declaration form’ that she claimed that existed. She didn’t find the form in the end and just left it. I can’t help but wonder, does this form even exist or is that even standard procedure to sign the form? Or was she just bluffing to make it difficult.
The same day afternoon, we decided to use the indoor pool facilities which is located inside the spa also. The day prior, we were offered lockers at the reception without asking. However on that day, the reception refused to give us locker keys claiming it is ‘standard protocol’. I was confused as I explained we were offered lockers to keep our phones and room key the day before, because we will use the steam room and sauna, which were located in a separate room from the indoor pool and we wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving our belongings unattended. The spa manager then came and questioned us rudely, asking questions like ‘What would you do with your phones if you were using the outdoor pool then? We don’t have lockers for outdoor. I don’t expect our guests to bring their phones to the pool’. These were her exact words. I was beyond shocked by her rude attitude and in no way do I think it is appropriate to question their hotel guests in such a way, especially we were asking for a simple service such as borrowing a locker key! She ruined our experience here and this is definitely not the relaxing resort experience I looked forward to at this hotel! Truly...
Read moreWonderful hotel! My friend in Vietnam recommended Fusion resort to me. I had not heard of the brand since it's a local brand, but the prices was very reasonable, and the pictures from the website looked amazing. Also, I liked that it was newer and closer to Hoi An. The hotel didn't disappoint. It is a BEAUTIFUL property. I got a villa first because we had 5 people staying, and the villa is beautifully appointed and all the beds were very comfortable. After my parents and sister left, my boyfriend and I moved to a one bedroom ocean view room. That was also GORGEOUS and very spacious. Breakfast in the morning was very diverse - lots of offering, so there was something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The spa was extraordinary. I had one of the best massages of my life there and I we really took advantage of the spa pool, infrared sauna, and steam room, EVERY DAY! It was so relaxing. I will say that the prices are very western and not Vietnamese, so that was a bit of a shock, but we got a deal which included spa with our room so it wasn't a concern for us. One thing that really made the stay special is the staff. They were all AMAZING. The reception even remembered my name! The hospitality was just out of this world.
That said, I do have some feedback for the hotel: I have two feedback for the villa. Please make the curtain in the master bedroom living room also black out, because the divider curtain was quite thin and light crept in during the mornings, so we were not able to sleep in. Would suggest that a lock be added to the back door of the villa, because we would leave from the back door since it was convenient to the spa and breakfast, but we could only lock from the inside, so the door was open while we were gone. The property was very safe so that was a good thing, but I still didn't feel comfortable about not being able to at least close the door.
My serious feedback about the food: While the breakfast was good, I feel like they need a better chef. We had lunch there one day and the Mi Quang noodles were overcooked. They were soooo soft. The Banh Mi at breakfast was really mediocre, and the Cao Lau sauce was sooooo sweet that it overpowered the whole dish. I had to water it down and add some soy sauce, which really ruined the taste for me. It didn't taste anything like what we had anywhere else. This surprised me because at the very least I would expect that the Vietnamese food would be the best things on the menu, especially since Cao Lau comes from Hoi An. Also, my boyfriend and sister who are coffee snobs were really shocked about the quality of the coffee during the breakfast. It was always too much milk and very little coffee, even though we specifically mentioned less milk. Vietnam has such a great coffee culture and we could not figure out how the coffee could be so off. In the end I would order espresso and milk separately and mix it ourselves. Also could you make the juices so they don't have sugar in them, and let people add sugar as they want in? All the fresh juices had added sugar with the exception of the watermelon. I'm not sure why because the fresh orange juice in Vietnam is amazing.
Despite this, my feedback in no way changes the way I feel about the hotel. I would absolutely come back and stay here without question when I come back to...

Second time to DaNang and this time I picked the Fusion resort just because it’s about the raining season and we do not want to spend much money on a resort in case it rains, it would be kind of waste.
Turns out the resort is newly open and everything is new!
Location - 20-30min from resort to da nang city center with no traffic jam, make sense
Room - spacious with only HKD600 per pax/ per night, which makes it around HKD2600 for 2N for 2 person. Very reasonable price comparing to the nearby high end resorts in the area.
Netflix and YouTube available on TV, nice balcony facing the ocean, shampoo and conditioner are of good quality, even the hair dryer strong enough for my long hair💪🏻
But there is 2 towels we got changed on the 2nd night that has a large piece of dirt on it. It’s quite obvious I don’t see why the housekeeping didn’t spot it and still pass it to us. A dirty towel is very concerning for a hotel, particularly a newly open resort which has just been operating for 6 months. Saff who read this comment you might have to do something with it.
Swimming pool - large enough for lots of Korean families with their children, 2 pools in total, and you can head straight to the beach by just walking out.
GYM - 24H operates, can’t ask more of it with this price. Clean and strong air-con with multiple types of equipment
Spa - not functioning yet
Breakfast - taste good in general, but apart from the Korean corner, you might consider putting some more of western hot food as well like pan fried vegetable, non-kimchi fried noodles or some non-kimchi soup. Understand that Koreans are of the largest mix ratio of the customers you have, but Korean food is truly not our first options. As a foreign Asian I would love more options other than sausages and eggs and bread in the morning.
Staff & services - very friendly and proactive staff that would ask you to get in their buggy and take you to any corner of the resort. Lifeguards on the pool side did actually care for the guest who goes into the sea, that is, whenever they spotted you are out the legit swimming area or been swimming too far, they will come up and remind or even bring out the surf rescue board, surf into the sea and check on you. Well, at least you know they are keeping an eye on you which is very sweet.
Guest relationship manager Them (or Then! ?) sorry I am not sure about the name, did asked us to share any comments regarding our stay so they can make improvements, I did brought up the breakfast and towel thing, and I sincerely appreciated that staff here are truly passionate on their work and genuinely wants to work on the details to sublime the hotel and services to another level.
Overall it’s a 8/10 rating, you just couldn’t ask for more with this...
