We'd recommend the homestay to anyone at any time! Kien and his mother are outstanding hosts who went out of their way to help us on multiple occasions. Kien insisted on picking us up from the station at 6 am which was such a relief after 11 hours on a sleeper bus. Kien's mother managed to wash and dry our laundry within 12 hours, which was a complete miracle and rescue for us two sweaty backpackers not used to the hot, humid weather. Both are so kind and warm, and their house is very beautiful, offering all the facilities you may need. Communication went very smoothly: Kien checked in with us on WhatsApp beforehand and we messaged back and forth with his mother during our stay to arrange breakfast (which was great), the check out, leaving our bags etc. Thank you to the both of you for making us feel so welcome and making our stay in Dien Bien Phu...

We only stayed one night with Kien and his mum, but I couldn't recommend it more. The room was spacious and very well kept, the kitchen was clean and there are three different bathrooms, which was a godsend for two European tourists, longing for a shower after a night on an overnight bus. But the most important part is that Kien and his mum went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make our stay as pleasant and uncomplicated as possible: although we arrived at 6am, Kien picked us up at the bus stop and made us coffee once we got to the homestay, and his mum did our laundry that evening and had it perfectly dry and smelling lovely the next morning. We even got to chat a little bit (with the help of google translate), which both of us really enjoyed. So, if you come to Dien Bien Phu, I'd absolutely recommend...

Nos alojamos en este hermoso hotel familiar y fue una experiencia increíble. El hotel es nuevo, por lo que todas las instalaciones están en perfecto estado, súper limpias y muy cuidadas. La habitación era amplia, moderna, bellísima, con muchísimas comodidades y algo que nos encantó: tenía proyector, ¡como tener nuestro propio cine en la habitación!

Lo que realmente hace especial a este lugar es la calidez de Kien y su familia. Desde el primer momento nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Se nota que es un emprendimiento hecho con amor y mucha dedicación. Kien nos ofreció un recorrido por la ciudad, cuidaron de nuestras mochilas después del check-out y hasta nos llevó personalmente a la estación de bus. Pequeños gestos que hacen una gran diferencia y que no se ven en todos lados.

Si buscan un lugar acogedor, moderno y con atención personalizada, este es el lugar ideal. Totalmente recomendado. Volveríamos sin dudarlo.

We stayed at this beautiful family-run hotel and it was an incredible experience. The hotel is new, so all the facilities are in perfect condition—super clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, modern, beautifully designed, with plenty of amenities, and one of the highlights: it had a projector! It felt like having our own private cinema.

What truly made our stay special was the warmth and kindness of Kien and his family. From the very beginning, they made us feel right at home. You can tell this is a passion project, full of care and attention to detail. Kien even offered us a city tour, took care of our backpacks after check-out, and personally drove us to the bus station. Those thoughtful gestures made all the difference.
