Khách sạn Hoài Phú — Hotel in Bến Tre City

The room itself was great - comfortable bed, spacious, nice bathroom and excellent wifi. We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were very friendly however they spoke very limited English. They tried to help but unfortunately the language barrier made certain things very difficult! The laundry here was good and quick. |The biggest con for us was the location. It was quite a walk from the town/river and there didn't seem to be a lot nearby. The receptionist was unable to advise us where to go apart from the supermarket. |An annoyance was Mr Quoc - we read on other reviews to avoid him because he has scammed people for boat tours/home stays so we made sure we didn't organise anything with him. However he must have a deal with the hotel because 5 mins after we checked in he came knocking on our bedroom door giving us info about his tours. We politely declined because of the reviews we had read, but then we also bumped into him a few more times on the street and he kept asking us, and he also came to our room one more time....

We really liked this Hotel. Especially the price was great. You get a nice room, very clean, flat TV, strong air con and everything quite new. We only paid 10 Euros for this room (agoda). If you book it there ist even cheaper (200 000 VND).|Walking to the river around 15 minutes (1,5-2 km). There are Cafés and food stalls on the way. ||We really enjoyed the hai san Restaurant (many locals there). The Pho hai San (seafood noodle soup) was perfect! Go there if you can find it ;) (somewhere near...

The owner is very generous, friendly, and thoughtful. The room is very clean and has everything that you'll need, plus it's very airy with lots of bright light. There's plenty of space to park. They have an elevator, AC, and within walking distance to many places. The price is unbeatable.
