Stayed three nights in Can tho with Daniel and family in Mekong Daniel Bungalow.|I had a wonderful and memorable experience and truly wish I could have stayed longer.||There are about 6/7 independent bungalows in about half hectare ( approx one acre). The bungalows are fairly well spread out as to no carry voices across one another, yet close enough to feel safe and secure. Daniel and his wife Jenny live in one of the bungalows with their cute little 3 year old daughter and darling 7 month old pup, Cacao.||The bungalows are about 30 min drive from Can tho Airport, easily accessible by Grab or taxi from airport (about 300K VND). Daniel and Jenny are available on call to instruct the driver we engage in airport over the phone should there be a need. When I arrived, for various reasons I ended up reaching there with no VND but only dollars. Jenny paid the driver and let me settle it when I paid my dues on check out.||I stayed in Bungalow no. 3- all bungalows have a verandah with a hammock, a table and a couple of chairs to relax. The room is very big, with fans, a newly installed AC, fridge, TV, a cupboard for clothes and for safe keeping of any valuables. The bed had clean linen, king sized and fitted with a very comfortable and unintrusive mosquito net, |The bungalow is simple, yet tastefully done up.|Bathroom is big and clean has hot water in both the wash basin and bath 24 hours a day. The bungalows are farily new (opened just before pandemic and closed for two years during) and hence all furniture, bathroom fittings almost look as good as new.||The mattress is high quality and ergonomical - my aches and pains from my long hours of flight travel vanished after I rested in the mattress and the pillows were very comfortable too. - I slept sound and well all three nights.||The tours organised by Daniel - Floating market in the morning and canals in the evening were both good, the guide An very sweet and knowledgeable and the driver very good too. ||The garden has so many different types of flowers and fruits - I can recall bananas, guavas, mango, lemons, papayas and I am sure I missed quite a few. |Cacao the pup, is delightful and sweet and pleasant mannered (never heard even bark in my three days there) and accompanied me (much to my pleasure) on my walks - for those who are not fond of dogs he will leave you alone and not bother you. |The common areas include the walking paths and beautiful garden areas with patios and lounge benches and sit outs etc. There are washing machines there but I never used them.||The dining area is calm and peaceful and has great internet connectivity (over 100 MBPS) and good enough for videos and streaming. Daniel allowed me use of multi plug point adapter and it was so convenient working there upto late evenings (Almost until midnight) with Caco for company! Daniel repeatedly assured me that I could stay in the open areas as long as I wanted to and it was entirely safe and indeed it was.|There is also a water cooler purifier in the dining area from which we can refill water bottles and avoid adding to plastic waste.||The food, tours are very economically priced ( I believe lower than market) even though they were so easily accessible to us. For eg, for a big bowl of fresh cooked rice and tofu cooked in fresh tomatoes I paid about 80000 VND which I thought was very cheap for the hygiene, comfort, taste and value.|Now the very best for the last-|1. The food: I am vegan and always have a fear I will stay hungry when I visit any new place. My fear was misplaced and Daniel and Jenny and the staff understood my requirement after I mentioned to them just once that I have plant based food with little to no oil. I had fresh, flavourful, tasty and healthy food, prepared only for me- though I was travelling solo and perhaps the only vegan in that resort all three days. Such was their kindness that they never made me feel it was burdensome, though I am sure it was.|2. Daniel truly and most graciously made me feel welcome and at home. He is originally from Europe (Romania) settled in Vietnam for over 15 years, thus while he understands Vietnam well, he is also a great conversationalist and is knowledgeable on practices in other countries and what travellers want. Also both of them are very down to earth.||They have several efficient staff, however Daniel and Jenny work the most and are fully involved in the running of their homestay.||My stay surely exceeded my expectations, the place is more beautiful than my review or pictures can describe. I wanted to have an authentic feel for Mekong Delta, and by staying in Can Tho and in Daniel's place I could easily achieve that.||Hope to be...

Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail created a truly unforgettable experience. The yard was a serene oasis, full of fruit trees and lush greenery, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. We spent countless moments there, simply enjoying the tranquility. The food was absolutely incredible. The home-cooked meals were a feast for the senses – fresh, local, and made with so much love. It was some of the best food we’ve ever had! A big shoutout to Thanh, the tour guide, who made our trip so memorable. Her knowledge and passion were unmatched. Exploring with Thanh felt like discovering hidden treasures, and her energy made every moment an adventure. Windy’s massages were another highlight of our stay – her skilful hands worked wonders after long days of exploration, leaving us feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. She’s a true gem! Read moreThey call this place a "Home Stay" but is far from anything like home. Overrated (probably by their friends and families). The owner (Daniel and his evil scamming wife) are just bad business people. The wife scammed on the very first day! We checked in at 5PM and rented a motorbike for 150K dong per day. So we rented that evening to tour the city at night. The next morning we get ready to take the motobike back out the Daniel scamming wife stopped us and said it's going to cost another 150K. We were shocked 😲 and said the rental day isn't done until 5 PM. She refused to rent us the bike and said a day rental for her is when the sun set. It's crazy! She obviously has zero education thus depends on Daniel to support her. The place itself is nasty and just filled with mosquitos and bugs. See the pictures for yourself. The water pressure was next to nothing so taking a shower is like standing outside in the rain. The location is deep in the farm land where it's very little wind so it's hot and muggy. There is AC in the room but the house is made of mud leaves and that means the cool air escape immediately as it comes out of the AC system. We do not recommend this place. Daniel, I would suggest you keep your Vietnamese wife out of your business as she does not have any customer service skills. Obviously, you both have a different opinions in running "your" business. I highly recommend staying at the Can Tho Ecolodge (1 km away) which is much more cleaner with a swimming pool and up to...
