Mekong Palm House — Hotel in Cần Thơ

We spent two nights at Mekong Palm House.||Guest facilities are actually small apartments in a separate building with living room, kitchen, terrace, .... Rooms are very clean, modern and very well maintained (the family is staying on the property for three years). The whole area is very modern with some cafe's and restaurants mainly visited by locals. fresh Food items for breakfast and water is provided on a daily basis. A small supermarket is also close by. ||||The host, Son, was by far the most friendly and helpful person we met during our Vietnam travels. He arranged airport pick up, very nice and private mekong delta boat tour, gave me a ride to downtown and picked my up (for free), brought food for my girlfriend who was feeling a little sick, he helped with further travels and transport to other destinations and also gave advise and translated to english in local restaurants.||||We absolutely enjoyed staying at Mekong Palm House and can fully recommend this homestay when...

We stayed here for only 1 night, but I would definately book more nights next time. We just expected a normal room, but you actually get a small house/appartment for yourself! Everything was brand new, clean, and the homestay is in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. The owner Son was amazing. He picked us up from the airport (250k VND), dropped us for free at the city center at night with his car so we could get dinner, but you can also take one of their motorbikes for free. The next morning we did a boat tour through the Mekong Delta which was fully accustomed to our taste by Son, also for a really small price. The boat driver was honestly one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met and Son proved to be a great guide and answered all our questions we had about Vietnam and it’s culture. As travel/lifestyle instagrammers, we really enjoyed staying there.|The room/apartment was clean and really spacious and this is for us really appreciated as we do have a lot of suitcases while traveling for our photo sessions.|The owner Son, his wife and the grand mother are really nice and the house is well located, close enough to the city but in a quiet and local area.|Son did everything to make us feel like home and nicely took us to town whenever we wanted. He also organize us a cooking class in a local house with a family (definitely authentic compare to hotels or tour suggestions).|He also managed to organize us a tour at the floating market (once again with locals).|Nothing to say except we had an amazing time and we will recommend his house to all our friends planning to...
