KHÁCH SẠN THƯ LÊ — Hotel in Cao Lanh City

FACILTIY/ROOM This hotel has potential. It is fairly new from visual observation. Overall, the owner of this hotel keeps up with the maintenance. The majority of low end hotels fall into disarray within few years of operation.

The room we booked has no window, but the décor along with the elegant layout of light fixtures, the room is nice and bright.

The in room amenities are basic of a 2 star hotel.

The bed is comfortable and clean, and there is no sign of the room is being rented out hourly to love birds.

In the last few years, many low end hotels in Vietnam participate in the “HOURLY” rental to the locals for the business of the birds and the bees. As a result, the reuse of bed linens can be a problem for the daily rental visitors.

LOCATION “Thu Le Hotel” is strategically located in the middle of downtown of Cao Lanh. Fast foods, coffee shops and Cao Lanh market are all walkable (10 – 15 minutes on foot).

SERVICE/ATTITUDE Both receptionists who checked us in and out are professionally dressed, speak a little English and are well trained.

The check-in process is simple, hence, limited English speaking may not be a issue.

Many low end hotels in Vietnam will not have English speaking receptionist.

Unfortunately, we had to rate “Thu Le Hotel” with a rating of 2.0 due to the hotel aggressive policy of charging for customers for in room incidence.

We broke a hand soap jar worth 2 USD, but they decided to make a short term profit out of the incidence by charging us almost 30% in comparison to...
