Muong Thanh Grand Quang Tri Hotel — Hotel in Dong Ha City

Upon reaching the hotel, the staff couldn’t find our booking and made us wait for so long especially after we arrived tired and hungry at night. I noticed that the guests’ details were stored on hard copies and files - extremely manual for a hotel chain. ||||In addition we booked a non-smoking room and our room reeked of smoke. We proceeded to order room service. I ordered room service I.e. “yellow noodles with beef” but what was served to me was beef with instant noodles. It was honestly the worst meal I’ve had during my two years weeks in Vietnam. ||||The cleanliness of the rooms is questionable. The sheets and pillows had unknown stains and bloodstains. The towels did not smell fresh. ||||The massage was the biggest nightmare. I was lying there half dressed and no one attended to me for half an hour. The massage room had a window where people walking past could look in at me in my half dressed state. The masseuse were walking around half dressed and some were in the middle of drying their hair. After awhile, we realised the massage was not a proper one. I did not expect this of a hotel spa/massage (especially when the hotel is part of a chain).||||Breakfast buffet is just ok. The food was not replenished and I even saw staff helping themselves to the food and drinks.||||Overall, I just feel that staff here are not interested in the work that they do. The management should really do something about it. For such a hotel chain, their service is an utter disgrace. I’d not recommend this...

These are the facts:||1) I had 4.6million dong in my luggage. The exchanged money included four 500k bills which are blue, the rest in 200k, 100k and 50k bills.||2) I was on a medical mission trip with food and transportation paid for||3) I am very detail oriented and keep track of every single dollar I spend. Whenever I took money out, I would track it in my phone. ||||A few days later, I check my money stash to see that only 2 million is left. I had only spent 600k, meaning 4 million should be left. However, I only had 2 million left in 200ks, 100ks and 50ks. ALL 4 of the blue 500k bills are missing. There is NO WAY I spent 2 million dollars on a trip when all food and transportation are paid for. I contacted hotel management and notified them. They gave me a charade of telling me they would check the cameras because they think it is possible some random person came into my room and stole it... but left my laptop? OBVIOUSLY the maids or cleaning staff took it and shared it amongst themselves. They said they asked the cleaning staff about it and they denied it. OF COURSE THEY DID?! WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD CONFESS TO STEALING MONEY???!!!||||and to top it all off... he asked if I put my money in the safe.... but there wasn't even a safe in my room.||||DO NOT STAY...

Terrible experience at this hotel for the following reasons: -Check-in took longer than usual because they couldn’t find our booking (ended up having to wait despite being tired and hungry) -We booked a non-smoking room but they gave us a room that reeked of smoke -Ordered room service for dinner (beef with yellow noodles) and they served beef with instant noodles. Worst meal I’ve had in Vietnam so far and I’m not even exaggerating -Bedsheets are not clean. I spotted blood stains and hairs (when I’ve not even gone on the bed)

Overall, worst experience I’ve had in Vietnam and it is not even the first night. I definitely won’t be back to this hotel...
