This hotel was chosen from a list of authorized hotels to stay during mandatory quarantine. I do not have anything to compare it to as i have not stayed anywhere else for quarantine. I picked this hotel because it was the most economical option, and the room offered a terrace/patio and appeared modern on the website. However, I did not factor in the travel time from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is approx. 2.5 hour drive (including a ferry ride) away. This isn't exactly an attractive option for those traveling from afar. After a 20+ hour flight, the last thing I needed was to sit in a car. Upon my arrival, the check in was fairly quick, The staff escorted me directly to my room and provided me with both lunch and dinner. unfortunately, the meals provided to me was not the vegetarian option I had requested upon booking the room. Also, the meal portions are decent size but heavy on the carbs (mostly rice). The vegetarian meals don't offer much protein. Hence the 3 star rating. Overall, the stay here has been comfortable. The hotel offers an a la carte menu which requires a 3 hour notice before the staff begin to distribute the meals (1hour for drinks). The hotel staff does attempt to accommodate their guest. I requested cigarettes and a lighter which was sent up to my room shortly after. For those traveling from outside of the country, the hotel also offers currency exchange at 21,0000vnd to $1usd. i deducted 2 stars because of the oversight in meal preference which was quickly resolved. Overall, my experience has...
Read moreRooms were extremely nice: the deluxe double that I had. The view from the big windows is to the big green outside. There is also a big balcony with airs from the Ocean right the end of the street. The bed is super comfy. One downvoted thing is that the reception staff could be a little bit stiff. However that is quite typical of Can Gio as a touristy area. In overall, this could be a the neat choice to stay in the beach area, other places were just guest houses.
Ps: when I was there the beach was closed entirely for a property construction. So the place is technically dead. However you can stay here, and go out to the Mangrove areas. The Mangrove areas was the highlight of Can Gio and should not be comparable to a shabby beach, which nobody swam even before. Hell, it should be...
Read moreVery new and modern hotel next to the seafood market. The rooms are decently sized, equipped with AC, a tiny fridge and a big flat screen (even some English speaking TV programs). They look like every other hotel room in the US. Unfortunately they aren't exactly clean. The staff is friendly, efforts are being made but if you don't speak Vietnamese, bring Google Translate. Breakfast included one choice of coffee and one item from the menu (fried egg with bread, seafood noodle soup, seafood noodle soup with vegetables). Other guests were listening music rather loud until three in the morning, don't know who to blame. Overall I think they are trying hard but in my opinion you can get better worth...
