I traveled alone on vacation and booked a villa with a garden – it was one of my best trips ever! The resort consists of rooms in a multi-story building, two-story blocks, and private villas. The property has 2 amazing pools: large, comfortable, and packed with cool features for kids. There’s also a shop in the main building where you can buy everything from instant noodles and ice cream to shampoo and umbrellas. Two restaurants offer very reasonable prices if you’re on a breakfast-only plan. The resort is literally a 6-minute drive from the airport and, in my opinion, the greenest, shadiest, and most comfortable among nearby options. They provide a shuttle to Nha Trang twice a day, dropping you off at the shopping mall opposite the Lotus Temple on the waterfront, with return shuttles from the same spot twice daily. The ride to Nha Trang takes about 40 minutes. To get around Nha Trang, I used GRAB taxis – just install the app and set "cash" as the payment method; it worked perfectly. By the way, the resort exchanges Vietnamese dong (VND) at a slightly better rate than the airport.More about the resort:I booked via Trip.com and handled all communication with the resort through the app. Upon arrival, a free pre-arranged transfer (requested via a form they sent) was waiting. The driver met me at the exit with a sign bearing my name. Check-in was quick since it wasn’t busy. The resort is large and handles multiple check-ins/check-outs smoothly. My villa was incredibly spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you could need (even a flashlight, umbrella, ironing board, and all imaginable toiletries). Housekeeping came daily and provided ample bottled water, so no issues there. There were a few mosquitoes, but the in-room fumigator handled them well.My package included breakfast, served for villa guests at the beachfront restaurant. They also offer afternoon tea (2–4 PM) with drinks, fruit, and pastries – perfect for a midday snack. I chose this resort specifically for its lush greenery, and it was a 100% success! The landscape design, variety of plants, and flowers are indescribably beautiful – you must see it! Waterfalls, ponds, and streams with fish create total relaxation. The grounds are expansive: walking the full loop is nearly 2 km. There’s also a golf course, tennis courts, and a small but well-equipped gym.The resort’s private beach is excellent: plenty of loungers, easy entry into the sea, a lifeguard on duty from 6 AM to 6 PM, and it’s very clean. Note: abandoned construction sites flank the resort, and the sea washes debris onto their shores (naturally, no one cleans it), but it’s not excessive. The coastline itself is huge – 17 km long – perfect for endless walks with very few people. The spa is stunning (private lakeside cabins, skilled masseuses), and the Japanese restaurant on the 20th floor of the main building offers incredible views. In summary: This resort suits any type of vacation. For peace and quiet (choose a villa – serene with greenery right outside), or for families/friends with kids (great entertainment, pools, beach, and restaurant menus). I highly recommend it and will return...

Let me start by telling you that this place is not a five-star resort but at most a 4 stars given the service and facilities the hotel offers ( here in Vietnam its the authority that gives the 5 stars, not a hotel association, no wonder why the pretend to be a 5 stars resort, what a joke!)

The staff: The moment we arrived, we didn't feel welcome. The staff was rude, and the first thing they asked after my passport was my visa ? Sorry, what ? Are you an immigration officer ?Do you have the authority to check my immigration status, i don't think so, I've been to several resorts.around and they never ask me that... The front office girl even show me a list of country that they check and other that they don't so this is pure discrimination.....!!!, The staff was not smiling, nor were they speaking English ( but they were speaking Chinese vert well, you understand which client they are targeting, clearly the Chinese, no wonder why i didn't see 1 single Western during my 2 days stays.)

The room : It was okay, but you could see that this is not well maintained and it is getting older ( not really what you expect for a resort...)

The Hotel: The hotel is badly maintained, the land is not well maintained the grass is gone, the river next to the Villa smells bad, when you go to the beach you're surprised to discover that they didn't display a deckchair bed even though the sea was not good for swimming it doesn't mean that I will not lay down and relax! There is a garbage dump on the beach !!!!!

The restaurant beach house is terribly expensive and the quality of the western food is bad! Again, a Vietnamese cook doesn't have the knowledge on how to cook the western food...

The only good thing at this hotel is the breakfast, which has a large number of dishes.

This hotel is good enough for Vietnamese or Chinese. You can clearly see that they're attracting Chinese ( with the casino), it is a Vietnamese hotel group, managed by Vietnamese, and it does not follow any international standards in terms of resort... I would not recommend this place at all and will advise you to prefer an international brand such as Movenpick ( for a little more money). we went there, and it...

My latest review in December 2025

I have stayed at this resort multiple times in the past and had high expectations based on previous visits. Unfortunately, my recent experience was the worst yet. I was assigned villa 5….., which had a strong odor from the nearby restaurant and an unpleasant view of the back of the restaurant, including garbage and storage areas.

As a returning guest, I expected better treatment and a more suitable room. However, the staff did not address my concerns, and the front office manager was particularly unhelpful including the Asst Sales Manager. Also that the GM was unreachable too.

Despite paying over USD 200 per night for this villa, I received no resolution or alternative options, leaving me feeling completely dissatisfied. Although they change the villa for 2nd night but 1st night experience was not good…

The overall experience did not justify the cost, and I can’t help but feel being mislead. This was a major disappointment, and I would not recommend this resort based on this recent stay.

Below my previous comment so I don’t think this resort has the consistency in quality.

The service level has been degraded from my previous review below

Duyen Ha Resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Here are the highlights that made my stay exceptional: Best thing its PET FRIENDLY

Warm Hospitality: From the moment I stepped into the resort, I was greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

Picturesque Pool Villa: I had the privilege of staying in one of your pool villas, and it was truly a slice of paradise. The private pool, surrounded by lush greenery, provided a serene escape. The villa’s elegant design and thoughtful amenities made it a perfect retreat.

Scenic Views: The resort’s location is idyllic, with breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. Whether I was lounging by the pool or enjoying a meal at the restaurant, the vistas were mesmerizing.

Impeccable Service: The attention to detail and personalized service were commendable. Every request was met promptly, and the staff’s genuine smiles made me feel like a...

Nearly perfect Before the Corona outbreak, we were guests at Duyen Ha four times. Every time we have rented a 2BR pool villa there. So now again on the last weekend from May 13th to 5th, 2022. The entire staff made a very competent, helpful and friendly impression. The villa was again nicely equipped and our grandson was immediately in the pool. We first enjoyed the delicious complimentary high tea at the Beachhouse, with a great selection of pastries and sandwiches. The entire area was again very well maintained and fortunately it was not overcrowded. The breakfast on Saturday morning in the Beachhouse was very good and you could enjoy everything in peace. Dinner at the Beachhouse wasn't bad, but our Vietnamese family didn't like the Vietnamese set menu. The spaghetti carbonara was missing a lot of parmesan. Unfortunately the Beachhouse was closed on Sunday morning. So we had to go to the breakfast buffet at Xin Moi. It was so loud in the dining room that you couldn't hear your own words. Vietnamese families shouted loudly across the tables as if you were in a street restaurant. Consideration was and is a foreign word in Vietnam. Just the sight of the leftovers lying around on the tables caused nausea. This is where management needs to step in. That's not how you behave in a 5 star resort. This must be clear to everyone and signs may have to be hung up or flyers distributed explaining which manners are required. Except for this Sunday experience, it was again a great stay, which our grandson traditionally ended with tears in his eyes. He would like to stay there forever.
