To put things in context, I have traveled to approximately 35 countries and have had the privilege of staying at such properties as Turtle Island/Fiji, Taj Exotica/Maldives, The Mulia/Bali, and Jumeirah Beach/Dubai to name a few. I have never felt more spoiled or pampered than I have at Fusion Resort and Spa/Cam Ranh, Vietnam. My husband and I stayed in the Hideaway Deluxe Pool Villa which was a tranquil oasis with a private pool surrounded by lush vegetation. On our daily walk to “Fresh” for breakfast, my husband and I witnessed the dedicated staff busy at work whether it be at the front desk/reception, the spa, the restaurants, or the landscaping crew keeping the natural surroundings beautiful. The general manager, Dawid Koegelenberg, was genial and often engaged my husband and myself in friendly conversation. One important thing to note, Dawid was willing to get his hands dirty and pitch in whenever needed whether it meant mixing up some cocktails or helping clear a table. His employees spoke highly of him. | Our Fusionista, Joe, was like a fairy godfather who coordinated and oversaw many different activities, arrangements, and experiences. He had the patience of a saint as I began communicating with him from the United States months before we arrived in Vietnam. Joe arranged for a villa with limited stairs due to my total knee replacement, daily housekeeping and turn down service while we were actually out of our villa, private transportation to and from the airport and into Nha Trang for shopping excursions along with recommendations of where to shop (such as the Night Market and Artbook), special baths accompanied by wine, as well as dining at the resort for “Culinary Pop-Ups”, “Steak Nights”, and “Poolside BBQ’s”. On multiple occasions, we arrived back at our villa to be greeted by beautiful messages “written” on our bed with vegetation such as “Welcome”, “Thank You”, and “Happy Anniversary”. On the rare occasion that Joe had a day off—amazingly he still kept in contact with us via What’s App—he left us in the care of his colleagues. His colleagues, Mr. Jack, Ms. Luna, and Ms. Aelia, kept careful watch over us in Joe’s absence. In fact, Joe coordinated with them on his day off to address an air conditioning issue which was resolved promptly and efficiently. The housekeeping team consisting of Ms. Thuc, Ms. Thu, and Ms. Phi kept our villa pristine both inside and out.| Imagine having daily complimentary spa services! The spa manager, Mrs. Vy, checked-in with my husband and I regularly making suggestions for certain spa services ensuring that our needs were being met. The massage therapists that my husband and I encountered were truly skilled, responsive, and compassionate. They made accommodations for my medical conditions such as my total knee replacement, arthritis, and frozen shoulder. Ms. Hang, my massage therapist for a majority of my treatments, did an incredible job of providing me with more pain relief than all the medications and injections I have had thus far for my frozen shoulder. She even gave me a special keepsake that she actually made herself! At all times, my husband and I were treated with dignity and respect by our massage therapists Ms. Hang, Ms. Nhung and Ms. Yen. My husband and I have received many couples massages over the years both in the United States and overseas costing $500 USD and up and these complimentary massages were by far the very best massages we have ever received. | With regards to the restaurant situation, I contacted the culinary manager, Mr. Andy, prior to our arrival to inquire about dietary concerns I had due to some medical conditions, and he assured me that modifications could be made to dishes as needed—and they were. The restaurants, Fresh and Breeze, managed by Mrs. Suong had beautifully plated dishes. Mrs. Suong, much like Dawid, was very much hands on and willing to lend a hand whenever needed. The service was very attentive and friendly with some servers even addressing us by name and sharing good humor with us such as Mr. Thinh, Ms. Bao, Ms. Quynh, and Ms. Nhu Ny. At Fresh, where we typically went for breakfast, our eggs were cooked to perfection by Mrs. Oanh. We especially enjoyed the “Poolside BBQ” with live entertainment. The DJ did an excellent job of remixing older songs—songs that my husband and I actually knew from the 70’s and 80’s—with a fresh, new modern sound. | Typically, after breakfast, my husband and I would visit Fusion Farm, and interact with the goats, bunnies (and their recently born babies), pigs (and their recently born piglets), newly arrived sheep, and others. Oftentimes, we were able to feed the goats bananas, the bunnies lettuce and Morning Glory, and the pigs watermelon. In fact, when bananas weren’t readily available, a very nice gentleman would often bring them to me because he realized how much I loved feeding the goats—especially Sausage, the goat! My husband and I were so impressed with how well the animals were taken care of—they even built a goat hotel/lodging— that we made a donation to the Fusion Farm. In conclusion, Fusion Resort/Cam Ranh, is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people...
Read moreThis is a beautiful resort with superb customer service led by our wonderful ‘Fusionista’ Joe. ||Nothing was too much trouble and anything we needed was arranged quickly, from airport transfers, borrowing plug adaptors, fast turnaround laundry service as well as booking tables, checking flights, arranging excursions. Joe arranged so many surprises and treats along the way we felt truly spoilt by his kindness and generosity and very lucky to be staying at Fusion. ||Although we were there to completely relax there were lots of things we could have done…. Yoga classes (set in the tropical gardens with a lily pool), decent hotel gym, tennis, cooking classes, snorkelling excursions, countryside excursions plus daily transfers to the markets in Na Trang and not forgetting the serene spa. ||The resort is gorgeous, kept in a beautiful condition and landscaped by the wonderful gardeners. It never felt busy, the main pool was one of the best we’ve ever seen and yet there was always available beds and shaded pods. The only time we could notice how many other guests were staying was the few times we went to Fresh for the buffet breakfast and even then there was always a choice of available tables. ||We upgraded to a Deluxe hideaway with our own pool and it was well worth it. The villa (1903) was completely private with a large outside area so we could always find sun or shade. Everything felt luxurious from the really comfy bed, lovely toiletries and fab suspended bath. ||We were a little concerned we might hear traffic noise as we were on the end of the resort and facing away from the sea but we only heard traffic on one morning when the air was completely still so luckily the soundtrack to our holiday was birds and the breeze in the trees. We didn’t hear any airplanes either despite being only a 10 min drive from the airport. ||The food we had was delicious and so fresh. There was an abundance of fruit and fresh squeezed juices like watermelon, pineapple and carrot. ‘Breakfast anywhere anytime’ is a great concept which we had a few times beside our pool. The Fresh restaurant buffet breakfast had a vast selection and the Al la carte breakfast in Breeze restaurant was great for a quieter experience and a bucks fizz. ||A complimentary spa treatment each per day was such a treat. The spa staff were wonderful and they arranged for most of our treatments to be in a couples room (apart from manicure and pedicure) Such a great experience to share. We had emailed the spa before we arrived at Fusion and selected all our treatments for the week. We’d spend the day relaxing by our pool and then have our spa treatment each day at 4.30pm followed by happy hour drinks in Zen bar – every day a perfect day ☺️||The service in the Zen bar was excellent. Amazing cocktails, all fresh ingredients and pressed juices so tasted delicious and even healthy 🥂||We had a perfect holiday and have come home feeling so relaxed, nourished and we hope to return in future. Thank you Joe and all at Fusion. ||Top tips ||- Contact the hotel before you arrive with any special requests – they will do their best to accommodate any preferences, Fusion genuinely want you to have the best time possible. |- Email the spa prior to arriving to make sure you get the times of treatments you prefer. The spa menu is on the website. It’s not essential to do this as they will try to accommodate preferences but we wanted to have our treatments later in the day so this guaranteed we got the times we preferred. |- If arriving via Ho Chi Minh City, download the Grab app for taxis (Uber is not available). It was so easy to use and so cheap compared to the airport taxis. It saved us trying to negotiate a fare, language barriers and not having cash when we arrived. Our 35 min taxi ride from Ho Chi Minh airport to our hotel in District 1 was £3.50 one way. The premium ride back on an early Sunday morning was £4.50. We also bought an e-sim before we arrived so we didn’t have to rely on wifi connections. |- If budget allows, try a deluxe hideaway villa. Having a private pool and so much private outside space was...
Read moreIt is about improving the service of Kamran Fusion Resort. I recently traveled to Nha Trang, had a good time, and finally, it was a journey to Korea after finishing it well at the Kamran Fusion Resort, which Koreans say is good. Today's check-in time at Kamran Fusion Resort was 2 p.m., but I arrived at the reception about 30 minutes early with a desire to go there quickly and excitedly, and asked the staff to listen to a brief explanation of the check-in time and use of the fusion resort, so I was waiting happily in the hot weather. But even though it was 2 p.m., the check-in time, there was no one in the reception who checked us in. wait and wait We went to check in and they said they would call a buggy car, so we were waiting for it again. But I understand that buggy car came to the reception for about three generations and then picked up other people, but I didn't feel good waiting outside. For your information, we were at the Regalia Hotel and at the Vinpole Resort Luxury Pool Villa before coming to the Kamran Fusion Resort. However, I felt that the service and kindness to the Jikwins were inferior to those of Regalia Hotel and Beanpole Resort. Of course, the facilities at the Kamran Fusion Resort were good. It hasn't been long since it was built, so the building is clean and the design and interior are good. However, the kindness and service of the employees seem to need a lot of improvement. I'll write it down in detail now. For example, Beanpole Resort guides customers when they enter the reception, gives them a bright "Shinjachao," explains the facility, and when a buggy car comes, guides them to the buggy car, and tells them to smile and say "Shinjachao." However, Kamran Fusion Resort does not show such kindness. The passing staff didn't have a greeting, and some of the staff at the reception were waiting outside for a buggy car, and they were drinking cold drinks and laughing and walking somewhere, but it didn't look good as a guest. It was nice to see the inside once I arrived at the room. The facilities are sophisticated, the pool is large outside, and the garden is so pretty. But that was it. We changed our swimsuits quickly and went to the pool with excitement. But there was only one lifeguard. We thought they were bringing us a beach towel after putting down a simple load on the sunbed, but they didn't. For your information, Beanpole Resort has beach towels in every sunbed. But what does the basic service look worse than Vinpole Resort at Kamran Fusion Resort, which is more expensive than the accommodation fee at Vinpole Resort Luxury. I went to the beach towel and brought it myself, but I just looked at the staff without saying hello. We brought a beach towel like that. I went swimming, came to the room, rested, and went to get a spa. I chose the massage I wanted to receive, listened to the explanation, and waited, and it was our turn to change and wait, but the massage staff was confused with the other guest's name, so I checked it wrong. I thought that might be the case, so I moved on. After checking our names again, we went into the massage room and got a Thai massage, and the two massage staff kept talking in Vietnamese. I didn't feel good. Aren't customers supposed to get a massage comfortably? My wife purposely told me if it's okay to drink in Korean because I kept talking in local language. That's when the two employees stopped talking. When I received three drinks at Beanpole Resort, the massage staff always focused on the guests and received them very quietly, but I don't know how the staff was trained here, but it was a little unpleasant. We gave small but hard-working massage staff a small tip, and one happily thanked them, but the other checked the amount. In that dark place...It was absurd, and I didn't feel like giving any more tips at this Fusion Resort Fusion. On our way back to our accommodation on foot, a buggy car passed by and there was no staff member who said, "Would you like a ride?" It just passed by. When a buggy car passes by at Beanpole Resort, the employees say,...
