Great Resort with Amazing Service but Needs Better Communication!!!!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Selectum Noa Resort, but there were a few hiccups. The service was top-notch, but food quality and communication could be improved. Overall we will return
-Check-in & Service: Beachfront villa guests check in at a VIP lounge with drinks and snacks, separate from regular check-in. We arrived early at 1 PM, and they let us into our room, though we had to come back later for our All-Inclusive bracelet. At 3:30 PM, they noticed we hadn’t picked it up and called to remind us, so we wouldn’t miss the afternoon snack—great attention to detail! The buggy service was excellent, arriving within 2–5 minutes every time we called.
-Resort & Activities: The resort is beautiful and well-maintained, with friendly staff and eco-friendly paper straws. Some activities have oddly short hours, like birdwatching (2–4 PM) and waterslides (9-11:30, 2:30–5 PM), but my kids had a blast.
-Food – The Biggest Letdown: The AI option includes drinks but at certain hours. And only the buffet restaurant is covered for food—other restaurants are not included. Even coconut water costs extra (50K VND which is nothing but we are used to staying at resort in Cancun that included coconut). The buffet selection was disappointing, with limited seafood and a poor breakfast options , even compared to cheaper hotels in NhaTrang
-Kid-Friendly, But Not for Everyone: The resort caters heavily to kids, with bamboo dances, foam parties, and kid-focused shows. The main pool was packed with kids—even in the adult section. If you don’t have kids, this might not be the best resort unless you just want to relax on the beach. Also, be cautious if your child has sensitive skin—the foam party triggered my daughter’s eczema.
-Photo Services – Plan Ahead: Resort photographers leave around 4–5 PM, so schedule early, even after confirming, they might not show up , so call ! Pricing is affordable (10 pic for 500K VND), but the photographer didn’t guide us on posing, I’m unsure how “professional” they are.
-Floating Breakfast Disaster: Our beachfront villa came with a heart-shaped floating breakfast, which was a highlight—except I never got to enjoy it. I scheduled it for 7:30 AM, but it never arrived. After calling, they said they never received the request but could deliver it at 9 AM.
At 9 AM, my floating breakfast arrived, but my maternity photo session (also scheduled at 9 AM) was missing. After another call, the photographer finally arrived at 9:30 AM—too late. A gust of wind flipped my floating tray upside down, dumping everything into the pool before we could take photos. I was so disappointed.
To their credit, the staff tried to replace it, but breakfast service had ended. I appreciate the effort, but at a 5-star resort, timing and communication should be flawless.
-Beachfront Villa Privacy Issue: The private pool isn’t actually private—it’s separated by plants, which look nice in photos but don’t block visibility. I could partly see into the neighboring pool. Room 101, where we stayed, was right next to the restaurant, making it convenient but lacking privacy. However, room was spacious, beautiful layout, big screen tv with YouTube and other American channels, even rack to hang wet clothes outside.
-What Changed My Mind About the Resort? At checkout, I expressed my frustration abt the floating breakfast issue, and the managers Hải & Duy personally came to apologize. He explained the mix-up (my original room was 102, but they reassigned me to 101 without updating my floating breakfast location). They offered to make it up to us next time, and I also found out beachfront villa guests have extra privileges that I wasn’t informed about.
This level of customer service won me over, and despite the communication issues, I’m already planning to return at the end of the month (but will stay in another beachfront villa from 102-106 that is not close to the restaurant). Hopefully they fix their communication and improve the food, this resort will truly...

Firstly the all inclusive package should be called the “all (read between the lines) inclusive”, not properly explained when checking in what’s included and not included (pretty average for an all inclusive package) When trying to order a drink be it a soft drink or alcoholic beverage, often there would be a non alcoholic menu at the bars for majority of the day (for some unknown reason, nothing stated regulation of serving of alcohol at set times in Vietnam) and inaccurate operating time for the main pool bar often a sign stating order from the lobby bar at least till 1400pm. At of evening it was not a problem and the bar staff were often very good and the cocktails on offer were not bad, but very limited considering it’s supposed to be all inclusive. The lobby bar where I attempted to order soft drinks and alcoholic drink a few times from the lobby bar. Only to be denied my particular choice of drink or not even served despite waiting my turn, even being disrespected by a very rude member of the staff, who thought it necessary to ignore me and then laugh at me , despite wanting to order a drink for my daughter. I understand a language barrier but at When ordering I always use my manners but often that isn’t returned at least from the lobby bar staff. A cardboard cutout would be more efficient then that particular staff member The food was okay, nothing really stood out but had a decent range of food. However I was disgusted when I was served raw chicken from one of there limited choices for dinner, I think there was only three choice for dinner (however the staff when I spoke up and showed them they were quick to apologise and did offer some complimentary food later on , despite being quite late at night). Which leads to another issue, when we booked we were excited for the vast array of Italian and Japanese food that they advertised from two of their establishment at the resort , only to be met with extreme disappointment that they were both closed, when asked about it no one was able to give a straight answer. Which was frustrating to say the least as this certainly influenced our choice to book at this resort. The front reception staff were often difficult to deal one with the exception of one (I think her name was Anh, who was extremely helpful and was able to sort out issues). When booked it stated we had free massage at the spa in the resort only to see everyone in the reception team playing the no English card and passing the blame around and refusing to honour the deal. Anh however assisted and was able to honour the deal and help us with arrangements to the airport. Also it stated there was a nanny service at kids clubs, however when asked it seemed no one could understand what I was asking for. The spa on the 3rd floor was decent and the staff there I found were very polite and respectful. I certainly felt comfortable getting a massage from there.
I understand a language barrier at this resort and Vietnam as a whole was expected but at this resort it was a big problem and also made myself and family feel segregated, as mentioned it led to being ignored at certain areas. this resort had some good but not great aspects (pools, the beach, the beautiful area and surround). Some misleading advertisements (advertising closed restraints and and an all inclusive packages that was a very limited one if that) and I hate to say some not all incompetent or ignorant staff that we’re nothing short of rude and not very helpful . Overall the experience was a very average and the best time when staying here was the day trips away from the resort. If I had the time again I would not...
