Mytho Square Hotel — Hotel in Mỹ Tho

A typical Vietnamese 2-star hotel, cleaner than usual, quieter than usual. The location is a little back from a small road, a large square in front (concrete). Quite ugly. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, gave us new, clean bed linen (we can't trust the beds to be clean, there are always lizards in the rooms; also here, doors and windows are just flimsy aluminum). The young man finished high school, did this work to save money, for continuing studying. 10 Points in his favour ! The room was not big, but adequate. Quite clean, the property takes care of maintenance. The bathroom was typical Vietnamese, shower in the middle, toilet opposite, no curtain, everything wet. No towel for drying your feet (we do not dare to step on the mats that are always in/outside the bathroom, they are never never never washed). The drain of the shower and the lavabo were quite full with hair, soap rests etc., smelly of sewer system. The hotel is quite far from the center about 5-7 km by motorcycle or car. There is next to nothing in the immediate surroundings, one has to go quite some distance for eating or drinking. At about 2km there is a new road direction center with many very nice shops and coffeeshops, eateries, etc. All-in-all the hotel is nice for Vietnamese and backpackers, 7.0.
