We did a 2 night stop here en-route our further travels to the south. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to go to Tam Coc or Trang An (or any surrounding areas) - there are day trips that can be booked through the homestay or you can get your own taxis (we paid 80000dongs to get to Trang An from the homestay and 100,000dongs from Mua Cave back to the hostel). The hostel is also a short walk to restaurants/places to eat.||The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they waited up for us to arrive and also allowed us to wait in their lobby area and shower before catching a night train from Ninh Binh station.||The rooms are clean and spacious, we were really happy with what we got, considering how cheap it was! Breakfast wasn’t included but the hostess provided at a very reasonable price and it was superb! WiFi was also really reliable and the hostess’ partner speaks very good English if there’s any miscommunication on anything ||Can’t recommended enough if you’re looking for a quick stay in Ninh Binh.||Thanks to all involved...

The family running it barely interacted with my wife and I at all, and were most often nowhere to be found. There's a curfew for all guests at 10pm. Granted, there's not much to do in ninh binh after 10, but the restriction on freedom of movement just felt wrong. They also prefer to keep your room key at the desk whenever you go out. It's probably fine, but I also thought it was weird so I kept it in my pocket anyway.||||Lastly, a lot of previous guests raved about the breakfast here. It's fine, not amazing. A good loaf of bread and a couple of eggs, or some butter and jam. The pancakes were terrible, though... no sugar whatsoever in the batter, it literally just tasted like cooked flour + water.||||If you must stay in ninh binh, there aren't a lot of good options. The rooms were good, as I said, so you could do worse, just know what you're...
Read moreFor the low price this guest house ticks a lot of boxes. |When we arrived we were greeted, and the manager ( I think?) helped us check in. We were woefully under prepared with little idea what we wanted to do beyond having shower and he was very helpful with the map and transport|The room was fine - very very clean, comfortable, working fridge, nice shower. We both slept very well - there's no noise.|We booked a private car to take us to the sights that day - we were told to go to trang an rather than tam coc and We're very grateful for that suggestion - it was perfect there and almost empty! The car was quite expensive but understandable - the poor guy sat in the heat about 4 hours waiting for us. He even took me to a sunglasses shop because I lost mine! |The breakfast this morning was lovely. They also arranged bike hire this morning which was good - bikes were good quality and cheap.|We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we came back...
