Farobe - Farmstay & Homestay — Hotel in Ninh Thuận Province

Farobe Farm and Homestay is one of my best discoveries in 2024. It would take approximately 1.5 hours to transport by car from Cam Ranh International Airport to the south side. The farmstay offers a peaceful welcome with lush greenery from various vegetable and fruit gardens, while the distant sea provides a charming blue backdrop. During the windy season, visitors can experience a refreshing walk amidst the aroma of sea-scented winds rustling through the leaves.

On the other hand, according to my evaluation, the accommodation of the farm stay humbly lands at an acceptable score. The interior of several rooms is unreasonable, leading to a shortage of optimization in walkways and available spaces. For easy-going customers, this may not pose a significant issue, particularly when the staff is exceptionally hospitable, dedicated, and professional.

The farmstay boasts talented chefs who skillfully prepare delightful local specialties using freshly purchased ingredients. Additionally, the produce, including the pomegranate, pineapple, and grape juice, is organically grown and processed from the garden.

Moreover, Farobe's location is conveniently situated for exploring Vinh Hy, the nearby vineyards, the seaside, and the floating villages to the North, all within a 30km range. Similarly, for those heading south, Phan Rang City, Bau Truc Pottery Village, and Nam Cuong sand dunes are all conveniently located around 30km away.

Being here allows your resilience to be at peak productivity and your soul blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings. Sincerely share with you that I had my fingers crossed on my decision to visit Vinh Hy in general and to Farobe in particular due to my shortage of knowledge about the location. We rented at Farobe Farmstay & Homestay, never ever. I contacted via Zalo and requested a large room for 3, I was proposed a 3 bedroom “Ocean bungalow” for 2,5 M/night and paid 50% by transfer. Arriving there the 1st impression is nice, landscape with farm design and good looking lobby, after everything turns into nightmare. After check in I had to pay the rest of the cost for our stay as per the hotel policies and quickly understood why. The “Ocean bungalow” are small containers with wood cladding, no ocean view, the room is 11 sqm (for 3 beds!) without furniture except the beds and no room to put the luggage, no bed light, insufficient plugs, basic finish, one large sliding door without proper blinding. Bathroom is 4 sqm with shower open to the toilet and wash basin almost falling, exposed pipes and cables, ventilation fan never cleaned, disgusting. The Chinese bicycles had flat tired and I had to refill them as nobody was there to help. Swimming pool is a concrete pond without proper treatment. The staff told us breakfast stars at 7 am but nobody is there before 7:30, I called the manager who was sleeping. Breakfast choice between Pho and Banh Mi, I ate Pho a got food poisoned. We requested a discount for this unacceptable comfort but never got a chance to discuss with the owner “from HCM”, finally we left the place after one day. What a wonderful stay at Farobe! We are 2 families with 4 kids, and kids enjoyed so much…with us too. I have been traveling a lot to beaches, but this place is a new discovery and best finding this year….So what amazes and unique at this place are:

You and Kids can ‘swim to the sea’ or sail kayak 2km offshore…the clean and transparent water depth just about half a meter (safe for most everyone). Water is so warm (up the air is cool of 24…28C, and water i guess about 30…40 plus)…so we can play for hours. I walked out in the sea about 1.5km and just sit down on the water and relax… We don’t do Kite surfing (not a windy day for us to try, but planning to be back for this), our kids enjoyed the whole day, even after dinner they went out catching shrimp and crab until mid night. We travel and we try and love the local specialties…local foods and some cakes are amazing… the People are Friendly and treats you well beyond.
