A Hidden Gem in Phu Quoc 🌿🏡 ( And they also have a cat!!! )
My boyfriend found this place online, and after seeing the pictures, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for—a perfect blend of mountain and sea views tucked away on a peaceful hill.
From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the atmosphere. The villa is surrounded by lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and plenty of natural light, creating a fresh and welcoming vibe. Everything is well-organized, and we immediately felt at home.
Hospitality & Staff We were greeted by the caretaker of the villa, who was incredibly friendly and always responsive whenever we needed anything. The rest of the staff were also super nice, making our stay even more pleasant.
Accommodation & Amenities Lecolau Villa offers a variety of rooms, from cozy studios to more spacious apartments, some with kitchens and some without. (Insider tip: they’re working on some upgrades, and the place is only getting better! 😉)
The villa has two shared kitchens—one on the ground floor and another on the rooftop, which also features a BBQ grill. Both kitchens are well-equipped, so you can prepare your meals easily.
There’s also a nice swimming pool that guests can enjoy anytime, as long as quiet hours are respected.
Workspaces & Remote Work-Friendly Features For digital nomads or anyone needing a comfortable place to work, Lecolau Villa has three dedicated workspaces:
Ground-level workspace – Includes a newly separated quiet room for those who need maximum focus. Rooftop workspace – Offers tables, hammocks, and an incredible view of both the mountains and the sea. 🌄🌊 Basement-level workspace – A cozy area overlooking the pool, perfect for a relaxing yet productive work session.
Our Room & Experience We stayed in a studio (202) on the first floor with a kitchen, as we love to cook when we can. The room had two balconies, and the aesthetic was dreamy—minimalist yet cozy. The bed was large and super comfortable, we had AC and a spacious closet (though we didn’t use it much since we’re backpacking 😂).
The bathroom was modern, but one thing to note (if you’re not used to it) is that the shower has no walls, so the water spreads across part of the floor. This is quite common in Southeast Asia, and after a few showers, we got used to it.
We also had some tiny visitors—geckos! 🦎 We didn’t mind them, but to keep mosquitoes out, we made sure to close the balcony doors before sunset.
The only small downside was the lack of containers for storing food, which meant we had to cook just for one meal at a time, even though we had a fridge. But other than that, everything was perfect.
Location & Accessibility Scooter rentals are available directly from the villa, with helmets always provided. 🛵 A local market is just down the street. Gyms, larger supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés are within 5 to 15 minutes by scooter. We met some amazing people, made great connections, and are seriously considering coming back.
