If you have your own transportation, you might have a better experience than we did. It's an isolated location, (about a 20 minute drive from the center of Ninh Hoa) There are few reasonably priced restaurant choices nearby. We had trouble getting transportation to the hotel itself, and messaged the hotel for assistance, giving the address we were at in Ninh Hoa. A confusing reply came back, inquiring which city we were in? To be fair, between the language barrier and Google translator's occasional inadequate interpretations, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
On the plus side, it is close to Doc Let Beach, the housekeeper was helpful and one younger woman who spoke English was also kind and courteous. An older woman there, was not. After quite an ordeal just to get there, she wasn't too helpful on getting us checked in promptly.
There is no elevator, and hauling our luggage up and down just to the first floor on a narrow stairway was a struggle. Upon leaving, we requested the hotel help us with scheduling a reliable taxi to take us in to town to the train station, and my wife overheard the older woman direct the driver to charge us more. We stayed two nights, but had paid for three, solely to avoid sitting in the train station for nine hours before our train left. The hotel is relatively new so the building and furnishings are clean. The family also seems to pay attention to cleanliness.
The price is cheap.
It's about 4 blocks from a beach. The sand at the beach is perfect, but it's narrow. The water color is also great. Now the bad: trash everywhere at the beach except in front of the neighboring resort about 200m north (however there still may be trash in the water depending on the waves and weather). If you go about 600m south, the trash is even worse as it's an inlet where it all builds up and near an industrial area (cement factories and shipyard).
The hotel is also on the far south end of Doc Let so you have to drive to go to the restaurants and...
Read moreA family-owned hotel with reasonable rates and wonderful accommodations in each room! The owners are incredibly friendly and willing to hell out with whatever you need. The rooms are clean and have some stuff you’ll need for your stay upon request. Also, the location is near the beach, so you only have to walk 5 minutes to it if you want! You can also rent a motorbike for 100k VNĐ a day, and the owners can give you information about the area so you can travel freely! The motorbikes are also very good quality.
Overall I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who will be staying in this area. Wonderful owners, great location,...
