I was very excited to stay at the resort after booking months in advance for the family. Seeing the advertised photos and videos gave me a sense of excitement. However, the whole place doesn't come closed to what was advertised. Maybe 4 or 5 years ago the place deserved to have a 4 star on its name, but currently not. Let's start with the rooms: When I opened my room, it had an absolutely terrible smell. After letting the server know, all they did was sprayed some fragrant onto the furnitures and bed, which masked the smell at first, but the smell returned after a while, same with the bathrooms. The floor had so many scratches and is so old that the colour has all faded. Furnitures were old. Mold on the wall, walls cracked, paint faded. Room's card doesn't even work, we have to use the actual key. What's worse, 1 key managed to open many rooms. I tried this using the other family member's room and the unused open rooms. Wifi signal is very weak for the free wifi, my room was literally less than 10 metres away. Onto the resort's relaxation area: The swimming pool seems to have not been cleaned for a while, mould can be seen on the walls of the pool. The only good thing is that the water seems clean. Kid's play area such as swings and slides are all dirty and no maintenance whatsoever. The only care they seem to be putting into is watering the plants. For the price and extra booking and service fees, I expect to have better service and better place to stay. Absolutely dissapointed, will not be coming back, felt absolutely scammed, even a 3 star hotel has better service...
Read moreThe Blue Ocean in Mui Ne was a fabulous experience. Expertly managed and run by Kristy the resort delivered on every level. We had an Oceanside bungalow and lived for 10 days with the sounds of breaking waves ! The room was spacious and clean and provided on every level. The indoor / outdoor bathroom was a small slice of paradise. The staff were very efficient and friendly at all times. The resort layout is very open and flows nicely , yet our room was still private. The breakfast was timeless, you can never tire of fresh fruit , coffee and eggs with a stunning view and cooling breeze. The resort beach is one of the best on the strip, as the resort has been very proactive with their beach preservation strategy. 3 concrete groins installed have worked a treat. Beach erosion is a problem in much of Mui Ne. If kite surfing is your thing Blue Ocean is perfect with a host of schools in short walking distance. If windsurfing is the go - head down to Jibes 1 km east. The pool is a stand out feature of the resort, perfectly maintained and big enough for a decent swim or just a refreshing dip. Centrally located the Blue Ocean Resort is the 4 star place to stay in Mui Ne what ever...
