We stayed here in December 2024. First of all, there’s a long flight of stairs to reach the reception. It was difficult enough with heavy suitcases, but imagine a disabled guest — they wouldn’t have been able to access the hotel at all. (The employee later explained to me that the lift can be called from street level, but still, unless someone knows this in advance, a first-time visitor wouldn’t automatically go there… And when leaving the hotel, street level can’t be accessed directly either — there’s no button for it in the lift.)
When we arrived, there was no one at reception. We waited, but still no one came. We eventually had to call by phone (luckily, we had some minutes left). The employee told us to wait. About 7–8 minutes later, he finally appeared. He didn’t greet me at all and immediately started looking for keys. We then asked, via Google Translate, to stay four nights. He replied, “One night?” We also mentioned that we had seen a price of 270k VND on a hotel-booking website and asked whether we could pay in cash directly for the same rate. He said that price was only for online bookings. So we began booking online. Then, suddenly, the employee said we didn’t need to do that and could pay the same amount directly.
He then escorted us to room 401 — but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We went back to reception to ask for another room. He opened room 301 for us, but didn’t hand us the key; instead, he said through Google Translate, “If you need it, just call me.” After moving our things, I had to go back to reception to ask for the key myself.
It was a humiliating welcome. I honestly don’t see how anyone could enjoy such an experience.
As for the rest: in the bathroom, the floor gets soaked after showering. I slipped and fell. Definitely not safe.
The fridge in room 301 didn’t work at all — food stayed warm.
Also, the Wi-Fi wasn’t great. In the room, the signal would appear and disappear intermittently.
Finally, the lift’s maintenance certificate had expired in 2023. It’s also slow: after arriving at a floor, it pauses several seconds before opening its doors. On day 3, the lift began malfunctioning, and the employee told me to take the stairs. No surprise it eventually broke down. By the way, no technician was called even after that incident — by the morning of day 5, there still wasn’t any new maintenance certificate in the lift.
