Initial impression upon checking in: The resort's staff is very helpful so far! Overall, I had a pretty uneventful stay at Dhawa, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Don't get me wrong, the uneventful aspect was not due to the host, but rather the unaccommodating weather. It was raining the whole three days of my stay, so most my time here was spent lounging around, eating and getting myself pampered. This is not a spot you seek for excitement, but rather a perfect getaway for those look to spend money and not have to worry about anything. Regarding the room, I booked a Superior King Seaview one for the views of the sea, and it did not disappoint. The size of the room, on the other hand, is a little bit small, but not cramped, and rather well-equipped. Housekeeping also did a great job at maintaining the cleanliness. As for the food, the offerings at Nook and Azura were on the expensive side (expected for 5 stars hotels), but I would say the portions and tastiness of the food were worth the price. If you want food from elsewhere, you would have to get a taxi and travel 5 or 6 kilometers to the nearest tourist-centric restaurants (please ask the receptionists for recommendations). Amenity-wise, I think the facilities of Dhawa were good, especially the spacious pool facing the ocean. Unfortunately for me, the weather didn't permit me full utilisation of all the amenities offered. I also noticed that they have many more things to do on the weekends, like buffets and foamy pools (I guess), so plan your stay accordingly. The employees were also extremely helpful and accommodating, from the front of house to the restaurants. I also highly appreciate the free shuttle bus service provided, though make sure to book your trip in advance with the receptionists. The free stuff (tea, coffee and biscuits) at Nest was also a great touch. I also had an excellent massage at Angsana on the first floor. Lastly, there's also a small gripes I had during my stay. The lobby area was not so well arranged logistically; when guests line up and check in, others would have to squeeze their way to get to Nest.

Là 1 member của All Accor, mình thấy Dhawa cũng nằm trong hthong của Accor quản lý, nên gia đình mình đã chọn kỳ nghỉ dưỡng 1 đêm ở đây, là 1 gold member gắn bó hơn 5 năm với All, mình đã trải nghiệm hầu như là gần hết tất cả các khách sạn trong hệ thống mà All quản lý ở Việt Nam. Nhưng có lẽ đây là lần đầu tiên mình đánh giá 1 sao cho 1 khách sạn 5 sao trong hệ thống. Trên hết, trước khi mình rate 1 sao thì trước đó mình đã có những góp ý với nhân viên khách sạn để sửa sai với khách hàng, tuy nhiên mình thấy có vẻ như khách sạn không mấy quan tâm đến trải nghiệm của khách hàng hoặc khách có quay trở lại ksan lần nữa hay ko - Từ lúc đến đã ko có nhân viên hỗ trợ hành lý, mình đợi 30p vẫn ko có ai hỗ trợ - Đến lúc check in, cũng rất ko chuyên nghiệp, mình có bé nhỏ sn 2020, mặc dù mình biết quy định free ăn sáng cho trẻ con là tuỳ vào mỗi ksan, tuy nhiên mình từng trải nghiệm nhiều nơi, hầu như đều free cho trẻ con dưới 12t đối với các ksan thuộc All quản lý, và những khách sạn khác ( ko thuộc All mình từng trải nghiệm thì cũng thường free cho trẻ dưới 6tuổi). Tính ra con mình mới 5tuổi, ăn sáng có tí ngũ cốc và ly nước lọc, đã thu phụ phí 350k cho 1 đứa trẻ 5tuổi. Ở đây mình ko nói về vde quy định thì mình hiểu mỗi nơi đều có quy định riêng, nhưng điều này khá ko hợp lý Tất cả các dịch vụ ở Dhawa đều phải trả phí, tuy nhiên theo mình thấy có những thứ lẽ ra là điều kiện tối thiểu mà thậm chí ksan thấp sao hơn còn có, như áo phao cho trẻ nhỏ khi xuống hồ bơi, cái này liên quan đến sự an toàn và danh tiếng ksan nếu như có vde gì ko hay xảy ra, đằng này khi mình hỏi áo phao cho trẻ thì bảo là phải mua 🤣 - Bánh nước welcome khách ở sảnh thì không có, đóng quầy ( rõ ràng là trong giới thiệu của ksan là có và bên ksan cũng có gọi điện xác nhận thông tin ngày giờ khách đến, ít nhất kco nhiều thì ít cũng fai có theo quy chuẩn của ksan 👎 - Ăn sáng: đồ ăn ko đa dạng, nhân viên rất ko chuyên nghiệp, thích tụm 5 tụm 7, món khách ăn xong thì ko dọn đúng lúc, lúc khách đang ăn thì dọn đi mà ko hỏi khách 1 tiếng - Ở đây mình cảm thấy có sự phân biệt rõ giữa khách Việt và khách nước ngoài, nvien chăm sóc khách nước ngoài rất chu đáo. Khách nước ngoài vừa tới cửa đã take care tận răng Thiết nghĩ rằng chúng tôi trả tiền như nhau mà sao lại phục vụ kém như vậy ở nơi đc đánh giá 5 sao. Nếu vậy có thể note luôn là ko tiếp khách Việt hoặc chỉ tiếp khách nước ngoài để khách biết mà còn né - Nhân viên ở đây chắc là phục vụ người nước ngoài quen rồi nên khách Việt nói tiếng Việt các bạn ko hiểu cho lắm, hoặc trình độ tiếng Việt kém nên fai khiến khách hàng nhắc lại 1 vde rất nhiều lần mà vẫn ko thông được. - 1 điểm kém ý thức hoặc nói giảm nói tránh đi 1 xíu thì nhân viên thiếu sự tinh tế, có mỗi việc thanh toán phụ phí của bé thôi, mà đứng canh me để mắt để khách suốt từ đầu đến cuối, khách vừa đứng lên để chụp hình chỗ bãi cỏ là nhanh chóng vội vàng chạy theo bảo c ơi chưa thanh toán, vậy có số phòng của khách để làm gì, có thể ghi vào phòng, lúc check out vẫn thanh toán được phần phát sinh mà. Hoặc có thể báo ngay lúc vào là bên e xin được phép thanh toán trước để tiện cho chị hơn. Rất nhiều bức xúc từ lúc đến cho đến lúc check out, góp ý thì nhân viên kiểu như nghe cho có , ko có lấy 1 lời xin lỗi khách hàng hay bất cứ phản ứng gì khác, mình ko thấy sự xuất hiện của ngừoi quản lý nào ở đây cả. Nếu quay lại chắc chắn mình sẽ ko quay lại đây, và nếu đề xuất giới thiệu cho bạn bè mình càng ko, dịch vụ, chất lượng, giá trị , thậm chí là phòng ngủ cũng không tương xứng với 5 sao 👎👎👎👎👎 Vì bản thân mình cảm thấy bỏ ra 1 chi phí ko nhỏ để tận hưởng kỳ nghỉ ở đây nhưng đổi lại được những giá trị thật sự không tương xứng từ thái độ nhân viên, đến cách phục vụ, take care khách hàng và mọi thứ, fai diễn tả bằng chữ quá TỆ

One of the biggest reason we booked to stay here is the complementary round trip shuttle bus from HCM to the resort. We booked it at the last minute but still got a very good rate on Agoda. We booked the classic room but got free upgrade to the superior room. We went during the week so the resort wasn't crowded with people. All the amenities at the resort were able to fill my 3 days 2 night stay. There are 2 pools area in the resort, the big one right by the beach and the small one on the other side. They offered tours with fee that you can try. We didn't try it because we know that we just want to stay in the resort. Also, it's a bit hard to get a taxi or grab around the area so it's a bit inconvenience if you want to explore the area outside. I think it would take another 5-10 mins ride to get to the actual downtown area from the resort. In term of food, the breakfast was a bit disappointed for me. It doesn't have much option or favor. In opposite, the food at the 2 restaurants inside the resort were good. We tried both place during our stay and we loved the food offered at the restaurant more than the breakfast buffet. Overall, we're very satisfied with our stay here. Will definitely recommend for our family.

Holiday Rip-Off. Paid Double for Zero 5-Star Service An Utter Betrayal of 5-Star Hospitality: Our Holiday Nightmare at Dhawa Ho Tram We booked our holiday stay at Dhawa Ho Tram with immense anticipation, lured by its stellar reputation and promising reviews. We were fully prepared for the crowds of a peak holiday season, but we were absolutely not prepared for the abysmal failure of service that followed. What was meant to be a relaxing getaway turned into a case study of operational chaos and profound disappointment. The Check-in Fiasco: A Masterclass in Incompetence Our arrival was an immediate omen of the disaster to come. We were instructed to take a seat in the lobby, with the implication that we would receive the personal, seated check-in service expected of a luxury resort. We waited, and waited, only to be completely ignored. No one approached us. Realizing we had been abandoned, I made my way to the reception desk, which was already swamped with a massive, frustrated queue. The true failure, however, was not the crowd, but the staff's shocking lack of adaptability. Despite the overwhelming number of guests, the front desk team mechanically recited lengthy scripts and explanations, showing zero situational awareness. A competent team would have streamlined the process to manage the influx. Instead, they exacerbated the chaos, leaving dozens of families, including our own, waiting in a state of growing frustration. The Pool: A Scene of Neglect and Indifference The pool area was another chapter in our dreadful experience. It was severely underserviced, with nowhere near enough lounge chairs for guests. When we asked the staff for assistance, we were met with a shrug and the equivalent of, "You're on your own." This dismissive, "fend for yourselves" attitude from staff who appeared utterly untrained was appalling. To make matters worse, the pool water itself was murky and visibly unclean—a serious hygiene concern and completely unacceptable for any resort, let alone one claiming luxury status. In-Room Service: A New Low in Hospitality The resort's inflexibility reached an insulting new low with our in-room requests. With a small child, we needed extra bottled water—a simple, fundamental request. We were flatly denied and instructed to leave our room and fetch it ourselves from a public water station. I was speechless. Forcing a guest to perform a basic service that is standard in virtually every hotel worldwide is not just poor service; it's a deliberate disregard for guest comfort and a clear message that we were an inconvenience. The Breakfast Battlefield at Nook Restaurant We had braced ourselves for a breakfast queue, and Nook Restaurant did not disappoint in delivering on that expectation—and then making it infinitely worse. After a long wait, we were finally told a table was ready. We walked in, only to find another family had already taken it. The staff's response was a complete abdication of responsibility: they claimed guests had just seated themselves, they had no control, and we would simply have to wait again. It was a logistical nightmare, highlighting a total lack of management and organization in their busiest outlet. Final Verdict: Do Not Be Fooled by the High Ratings I am still struggling to reconcile the highly-rated resort we read about online with the dismal reality we endured. Every single touchpoint—from arrival to dining to basic amenities—was a catastrophic failure. This was not a 5-star experience; it was a lesson in how a beautiful property can be utterly ruined by incompetent management and poorly trained staff. I stayed at Dhawa during the September holidays. Before going, I read several reviews, which were somewhat mixed. However, after our stay, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Dhawa and had a very satisfying vacation. Of course, there were both positive aspects and some minor points of concern, but overall, I felt that this is a wonderful hotel.

Pros: • The shuttle bus between Ho Chi Minh City and the hotel is included in the room rate, saving the hassle of arranging transportation. • The pool is not too deep; even in the adult pool, an average adult can stand upright with their face above water and breathe comfortably. • There are many child-friendly activities, including bubble pools, scheduled regularly, all at no extra cost. This is great since Ho Tram generally has limited entertainment options outside the resort. • All rooms have ocean views. While the rooms are not very large, the design is elegant. I especially liked the shower room design. • Most staff members can communicate in English. • Front desk, pool, kids’ club, spa, and bar staff were friendly and helpful. The staff at the kids’ club, bar, and spa left particularly positive impressions. • The breakfast buffet was satisfying, with especially delicious bread. • There is a free tea, coffee, and cookie service near the front desk; I particularly enjoyed the purple tea.

Areas for improvement: • Some staff members were not familiar with the resort’s activity schedule. • Some vending machines were broken and could not be opened manually. • Combs and razors were not provided by default at the sink. I’m not sure if this is for cost-saving or environmental reasons, but it would be appreciated if these were provided in advance, as they are inexpensive items.

Points understandable due to high occupancy during the holiday: • Long queues at the front desk caused some delays during check-in. This was likely due to overlapping arrival times from the complimentary shuttle buses. Other resorts offering free shuttles experience similar situations (e.g., Vung Tau Vias Hotel, Holiday Inn Ho Tram Resort). While the hotel technically meets the national 5-star standard for reception hall size (100m²), this is worth noting. • Breakfast buffet required a short wait. On both days, the wait was only about 5 minutes, which was acceptable, even for a hungry toddler.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly, smiling staff who were obviously genuine and sincere with their enthusiasm to welcome my family and myself to this wonderful resort. Check in was fast and efficient and I was shown to my room in not time at all. I chose the two-bedroom apartment and it was spectacular, offering optimum comfort and wonderful beach views, overlooking the pool and other resort facilities. We wasted no time getting to the pool which was the perfect temperature. The kids loved the play area. What I particularly liked was that every time I walked past a staff member, they made eye contact and smiled, or some gesture to make all of us feel welcome. I enjoyed a drink at both bars during my stay. I particularly liked the top bar in the evening. We ate in both restaurants one offering Vietnamese food and the other offering a Mediterranean style. Both were faultless as well as the service offered by the young staff members. A full buffet breakfast was a delight to wake up for. There was a range of Vietnamese food as well as western delights such as freshly made omelette, bacon, cold platters and savory meals. I was offered tea and coffee at the table and I loved getting served a fresh pot of tea. I had to make sure I saved room after gorging myself for the pastries, which were to die for. The resort has a great gym to get exercise for guilt free indulging in the restaurants. Every part of my stay from check-in to check-out was an absolute delight for myself and my family. I should mention the wonderful kids club which my kids loved and it gave me a chance to have some relaxion or drinking time. I rarely take the time or even have the time to write reviews, however on this occasion, I’ve had to make an exception. This review I have written deserves not only the precious time I have taken to write it, but all the accolades within it. Dhawa Ho Tram will be an annual trip for myself and my family.
