An unforgettable stay at Escape Bungalow – Highly recommended!

I had an absolutely amazing experience staying at Escape Bungalow in Phong Nha. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, and well-maintained, offering great comfort after long days of exploring. I especially loved the minimalist yet cozy design, which blends perfectly with the natural surroundings.

What truly sets this place apart is the beautiful riverside setting. The bungalow is located right on the banks of the Son River, offering stunning views any time of day — sunrise, sunset, or just relaxing with a drink in hand. The landscape design is thoughtful and charming, with plenty of greenery and lovely sitting areas to unwind.

One of the best highlights is the free stand-up paddleboard (SUP) experience. Being able to paddle directly on the calm, scenic river right in front of the property was such a unique and peaceful way to enjoy Phong Nha’s nature. It’s rare to find such an experience included with your stay!

The host and staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed – from recommendations for local tours and places to eat, to arranging transportation with no fuss. Their warm hospitality made the whole stay feel personal and welcoming.

The price is more than reasonable for the quality of accommodation, service, and experience provided. It’s clear that the owners truly care about their guests and pay great attention to detail in every aspect.

Escape Bungalow is not just a place to sleep — it’s a destination in itself. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or in a small group, this is the perfect riverside hideaway in Phong Nha. I’ll definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Quang Binh!

We had a lovely 12 night stay at Escape Bungalows. The hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. The manager Phuong went out of her way to ensure we were happy. She helped us organise scooters and lent us additional helmets for the kids. Our children wanted banana pancakes for breakfast, which she didn’t have, but she went and bought the ingredients so they could have them the following days. She is a lovely, friendly person and made us feel very welcome.

The views are beautiful, and being right on the river is really special, especially with the free use of paddle boards (with kayak paddles). It’s a few minutes' drive out of town, but if you don’t have a scooter, they have lots of free pushbikes for you to borrow.

I would recommend Escape Bungalows, and if we are ever back in Phong Nha (hopefully), we would definitely...

A beautifull break after the hustle of Hanoi in one of the few riverside hotels in Phong Nha. Very clean and beautifully decorated it was a pleasure falling asleep and waking up looking over the musical river. 2 miles from the town itself but they do supply free bicycles for an easy ride and a private car was arranged for collection and delivery from Dong Hoi train station.
