Worse experience I’ve ever had at a hotel sadly.

Went to check in after a long motorbike trip. And the guy seems nice and friendly and there was 2 hotel next to each other as I was checking in and paid he then took me to the other one which is a motel. Not the one where I thought….

I was confused as felt I was scammed to think I was staying at one and was taken to another?

Anyway cos price wasnt too bad and the room looks new. But on closer look the sheets was dirty and had hairs on it as if someone slept in it already? But wasnt too fussed I’ve slept in worse places!

And here comes the worse bit. Even though I checked in around 7pm and gave them a copy of my passport and they accepted and took my money. So I went out to eat and came back and was ready in bed at 10pm and the guy knocked on my door saying he needs my original passport? I then explained that the motorbike rental company had it then he was like oh sorry sorry sorry I didn’t know etc and went away. As I was about to go to sleep as I’m deaf so took my cochlear out and 20 min later roughly he suddenly he opened my door!

Asking for the original passport again? And I explained again and he said sorry I need it so he kicked me out and it was around 11pm. So had to find another place :( had to pack up and and get on my bike and find another place in the middle of the night.

And so glad Min house hostel took me in for half price at 100d! Especially when it looks like it was closed! And a nice guy popped out to chat as he saw I was struggling. Very grateful!

Never had a problem with the passport situation in any homestays/hostels/hotels….

(By the way this motel is under the same ownership apparently as the one next door as it was the same staff and reception that control both places so had to copy and paste the review on...

Great service, when room needs cleaning its on the house, prices are good, can ask to hire scooters or car, you will need to provide ID/Passport that is the rules here. Good people with good hearts.
