We enjoyed a beautiful stay at the L’Alya resort. We visited in the mid of May, and we stayed for 4 nights. Our first night, we arrived late from the airport and our flight was delayed too, but the hotel transport service still picked us up late at night and served us dinner in our room. Our accommodation was amazing too. We stayed in one of the Lagoon Villas, and the indoor/outdoor experience was amazing. What stood out most besides the rooms was the exceptional service we received from our butler Anh, and the friendliness of all the people in the resort. We came here as part of our honeymoon, and it was the perfect romantic experience for us. The resort wasn’t too busy, and we experienced a lot of privacy and calm while staying here. I personally really loved how the resort does its best to treat the nature of the reservation it sits in with respect. We even got to see some monkeys!
There was actually loads to do on the resort, like playing pool, kayaking, paddle boarding, going on hikes through the jungle or excursions that you can book through your butler. We were also given complimentary bikes during our stay we could use to get around the resort more easily.
There is only one restaurant on the resort, but the menu is quite big. There is also a snack menu available during the day with other food items and the beach bar serves smoothies and cocktails. I liked the coffee, the desserts and the spaghetti the best.
Overall, it was a really special stay for us, with staff that aim to go above and beyond to make your stay special, a beautiful location near a nature reserve, and stunning villas to enjoy...
Read moreDefinitely a good place for families with young kids. The common pool does not even have the kid section. Our villa pool is too deep too, and does have big rock underneath which is pretty dangerous (I think we were in villa 10 with 2 rooms). My part of the villa was terrible, shaky bed/windows and everything. I had almost no sleep the first night because of the noice from the strong winds outside slamming all the windows. Food was below average. Our orders were taken wrongly twice. The restaurant was way too dark to my personal preferences. The beach was FULL of sharp broken seashells. Hot water was on and off.
Overall experience: Not worth the money. There are heaps of better places I’ve been to that offer more than this. It would have been a 2star review if they didn’t have such good staffs. Plenty of room for improvements, else you will soon lose out to your neighbours mate.
P/S come on please move the pool table away from...
Read moreIt's really worth a vacation, a definite stunner. Away from the city isolated on its own island, you feel like your in the jungle.
I would recommend it for sure. Those who want to do other activities they have a variety of things you can book to do some free, some at discounted rates. If you'd like to go into the city they'll arrange the jetty but have to book a day in advance.
Staff are all friendly and great customer service, checking in asking how you doing and if you need anything to make your stay extra comfy.
Pictures that you see are exactly that won't be...
