Hard to find, but the reward is grand!! Nam Giang is incredibly hospitable! He took us for a moto ride around the island of which he is very proud, stopping many times to pick and eat fruits straight off the trees. We cooked and ate dinner all together, played pool, drank beer and relaxed in his home. There are a lot of ongoing projects in this home (swimming pool, extra rooms etc). He's a busy man, single dad, and also taking care of his mother, harder, house, but still had time to make us feel very welcome! Truly a home away from home! The rooms are very comfortable. We thought we would not sleep well, but that was a mistake! We slept like babies! Breakfast was also included and ready on the table at 7am. He also took some of us to the floating market in the morning, and suggested a day trip around the Mekong Delta, which unfortunately we had to decline. If you're looking for a place to stay on the island, this is your place! A truly authentic experience, which we highly recommend! Bikes are also available if you want to go exploring the island.

Fantastic guest house. The owner is friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. This is very remote in the Mekong, so don’t expect high-end luxury, but it’s more than comfortable. The beds are traditional Vietnamese style (super thin, firm mattresses), some rooms have air-con and there’s even a pool (highly unusual for the area and the local kids come and play there). The food and hospitality is what sets this apart though. Very much worth the time to stop by.

😊: Homestay in a countryside, far away from tourists.. 😢: 1. The owner is greedy for money. If you don't want to be robbed of your money by the owner, stay away from this place. We set the price for the stay, food and day trip before arrival - but the owner significantly increased the price at the end of the stay during the settlement. The lunch was more expensive than we agreed on and we had to pay for the drinks we had with the meals (which were offered by the owner with no mention of additional payment). Homestay is located very far from the bus stop, so to get there you need to use the transport offered by the owner - at an additional cost. The owner cleverly blackmails him to pay him as much money as possible. He doesn't keep his promises and demands more money than agreed. The owner organizes a trip around the island (for an additional fee of EUR 25 per person), but does not inform what is included in the fee. In the morning we visited Cai Be, the land market - because the floating market is no longer functioning, and the transhipment port for rice. In the afternoon the owner rented us motorbikes and we toured the village without visiting anything interesting on the way. Thus, the fee of EUR 25 per person is very high. The owner is rude, likes to argue and blackmail, and treats tourists like an ATM. The rooms are quite ok, the beds are nicely made, but there are bugs in the rooms and the bathroom. In addition, the yard is a big mess, and the pool...
