Booked the place remotely and regretted it. We were a group of 13 couples(13rooms). Place looks nice from the outside but lacks finesse inside... Some rooms were smelly, like they didn't use detergent when cleaning. Don't know when the carpets and curtains were last washed. Cobwebs and dirty walls in many places and rooms. The manager was not concerned and never showed up even one day to attend to our queries. A big salute to Mr Nyirongo, one of the senior staff who took our concerns seriously and tried to rectify as much as he could while the manager dodged us. There is a lot of work to be done in terms of maintenance and cleanliness if the place has to match acceptable standards. The ladies at the reception gave it their best but they have little support from management. Water pressure was bad or non-existent in most rooms on the first and second floor. The restaurant staff was more organized and performed better than the staff at the rooms. Meals were respectable and the staff served us really well. Overall, the original idea and design of the place is not bad but management and maintenance is poor. The situation is not lost as long as they rectify the...
Β Β Β Read moreA place with mixed experience. I was there for a wedding in July 2023. My first experience was witnessing a dirty environment. We were made to wait outside the hall for it to be cleaned. Got in the hall minutes later then BOOM...!!! power cut in the middle of the wedding and was never restored. I don't think there is a working Genset. Coming to the food, it was another fun part. The food was average, cold and dry. Waiters and waitresses did not even put on hair nets. The most sad and disappointing issue was the failure to restore power and, this ended up cutting the wedding program. I decided to check with the reception and found 3 ladies sleeping on the couch, they mentioned to me that the Genset had no fuel and they have no idea when the power can be restored. What a shame, no communication from management staff was rendered to us until our cold departure. This place need proper and qualified management and staffing. I submit ba Ndozo....
Β Β Β Read moreRather rundown place with about ten chalets near Lusaka. Despite the friendliness and willingness of local staff, this place is now a poor reflection of what it once must have been. Broken mosquito wiring, missing door handles, not working airco's, leaking water pipes in the bathroom, etc. Only one of the chalets still has a cooker. Advertised wifi is no longer available and the DSTV consists of three channels which are managed by the bar and always show British soccer. The worst however is that we booked a chalet and arrived in the evening from Livingstone to find our accommodation given away to someone else by management, over the heads of reception staff. Not...
