Jumbo Cash & Carry — Local services in Lusaka Province

Just returned from Jumbo. Tried to select and buy wine, but that whole section was in total darkness. Used my phone torch and selected 2 bottles, my intention was to get six but ended up with 2 only. Lack of maintenance of public areas, malls, shops, roads, etc are a chronic problem in Zambia. We thought you would be different. Do you have a lack of respect for your customers here? Stocks a variety of goods and great for retailers. I was, however, very unimpressed how ALL the staff were more interested in loud conversations with each other, catching up with their evening doings at 08.30 in the morning while customers are trying to make their way around the shop. Jumbo has got to be one of those places you love and hate at the same time. Love it because they are so well stocked majority of the time and gave great prices but because of that, the place gets congested alot especially month end. Only qualm I have there is the number of open tills even t peak traffic. The lines get unnecessarily long. Other than that you're better off getting your home items...
