New Fairmount Hotel — Hotel in Southern Province

I travel for work and spend over 150 nights a year in hotels. I've been a Diamond Elite member with both Hilton Honors and Holiday Inn IHG every year since 2019. When I travel for vacations, I also always try to book Hiltons and Holiday Inns to be treated like a Diamond member. So when I saw there were no Hilton's or Holiday Inn's in Livingstone/Victoria Falls, I was a little worried about booking this hotel through Expedia.||However, the level of service I received at New Fairmount Hotel and Casino in Livingstone, Zambia exceeded all Diamond Elite treatment I receive from Hilton Honors and Holiday Inn IHG.||I was so warmly greeted at the front desk by Mwiche, Allan, and Dwayne. They upgraded our room to a family suite. They provided great tips about where to go shopping. When internet wasn't strong in the room, they brought us a router to the room. They offered us a wonderful dining experience at their onsite restaurant for dinner.||At dinner, they introduced us to Chef Rehman, who moved to Zambia from India 20 years ago and specializes in Indian cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm tandoori naans and dishes Chef Rehman recommended.||The rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of nearby local market. And is a short drive from the Falls. Hello from SC, USA.|I took my chances with this hotel compared to some big names while booking, and this hotel did not disappoint me at all .. let me elaborate. |They contacted me in advance and got me from Airport to hotel at no cost, the staff is super friendly and do a great job at making sure every little detail is taken care of.|Breakfast is really good quantity and quality wise and is complimentary, you have option for Lunch and dinner as well.|The rooms are very nice and clean.|The property is full of Mango trees, the ripe once fall down all the time, you can just pick them up, wash them and eat them (Free Organic mangos, as much as you can eat)|Pool is good, you can sit under mango tress next to pool and read books all day, its so peaceful.|They also have a very good disco/launge which operates on Friday and Saturday nights, so if you are looking for a night life or hangout with locals, you dont have to go outside the hotel, they have bouncers who maintain security on these nights, you will feel safe with them and they are friendly once they got to know you a little.|Lastly, what I am told is that the owner lives at the property itself, so they personally look after every detail.|I did not find any negative after staying here for several days.||I highly recommend...
