I and my family have used this hotel several times as a stopover while travelling between Botswana and Zambia. Our latest stay was on 29th December 2015. ||||The hotel is not exactly what I would class as a hotel but rather a motel or lodge. The rooms are spacious, with very nice hard Chinese beds which is the only good thing actually. The standards have continued falling since our first stay in 2014 when they opened. 7 of 9 TV channels are Chinese. The other 2 are Nigeria news channel and Mnet. I can not understand how a hotel in Zambia selects to omit the local TVZ channel from their bouquet and instead chooses to show Nigerian news. I have reminded management about this on several occasions and have been promised the local channel next time round. All I want is to catch up on local news and know what is happening locally.||||Breakfast is very poorly prepared and the staff generally comes across as having not been trained for the hospitality industry. These establishments, especially in the tourist capital, need to be monitored or else they bring shame to a country that need to attract visitors and tourists for much needed forex. It is relatively new, fairly priced but has enough mosquitoes so make sure you either have repellent or sleep under a mosquito net, which is provided in the room. The breakfast is basic but could get you going and staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel also operate airport transfers and are glad to arrange any tourism outings depending on customer needs. Livingstone is Zambia's tourist capital, there is no shortage of fun...
Read moreI didn't have another option. Livingstone hotels were full during the weekend I visited. The bed and sleep quality were the worst. The mattress is so very hard- felt more like sleeping on the floor. Most of the things like gadgets are in Chinese. The wifi wasn't working, and breakfast had more of an oriental feel. Service from hotel staff is almost non-existent.||The hotel is near the town. I think it could have the potential to be better. The bathroom is ok- had hot water and good shower pressure. Room though has air conditioning. Nothing stood out. I wasn't comfortable staying in the room, and chose to be out more than in.||I guess it boils down to different tastes, but this wasn't...
