Protea Hotel Southern Belle — Hotel in Southern Province

My sister and I were looking forward to visiting the Southern Belle on Sunday 03 February. When we arrived at the location we were disappointed to discover that the access was almost impossible and not 'elderly friendly'. Both sets of concrete steps down to the Southern Belle had nothing to hold on to and even if we had managed to descend the steps we would have been met with boulders and rocks to try to dodge on the beach. Excellent views, we took the presidential suite and it was excellent, the service was magnificent. Best breakfast I have had at any resort. However there is need for enhanced security as the parking area is several meters away from the boat and as such you do well to have a vehicle with an alarm system. Take a relatively bigger vehicle as access roads are not in great condition. Not many channels for viewing but numerous card and board games...

After the rocky and sandy long trek which you need to take to get there, you find out that it's a boat and that's about that's special about it. Rooms are disappointing, lounge looks good though.
