Locale Kitchen — Local services in Armadale

Negatives: We had the southern style sit down feast menu. At $55 per head, guests only received 1 piece of chicken, 1-2 meatballs and a very small amount of brisket. Some items were not even within reach and had to ask several people down the table to pass salads, other menu items I didn’t even get to try as the bride. Vendor meals were charged at $35 per head and they received more food than our guests. Thankfully we organised through another vendor a large grazing board before the dinner service otherwise our guests would have been starving. FAQ on website stating that guests would be fed until they were full only applicable to stand up menu, despite being located directly below “feast menu”, which we only worked out after we contacted Locale to communicate our disappointment with the service. This defies logic – you may as well pay less for a stand up service and have your guests better fed. We paid over $7000 to feed approximately 120 people and this service did not meet expectations. Positives: The food we did get tasted very good and there was no issue with quality and they served kids meals first, which was great for our little guests. Unreliable service and poor follow up. Booked for a wedding, they were over an hour late to arrive (amongst several other sore points). Food was good but that's not really worth $5k due to the stress caused by unorganized management. Would have rated higher if we had a part-refund but after back and forth emails with admin, weeks later fizzling out into no tangible result I am forced to leave a negative review. Looks like there are a lot of positive reviews for this company so it's truly devastating that we were the few to be neglected. A mobile catering service should provide more than just food, planning for a wedding is time sensitive. If your drivers can't park their own vehicles and your management double-books same timeslots then I'm left scratching my head trying to figure out what the difference is between your company and something like Uber eats... well other than the price...

Todd, Jufel and the team at Locale Kitchen were fantastic. We chose the canape service and stand-up menu for our wedding (~120 people) in Dwellingup. Every piece of food that was served was AMAZING and there was so much to go around. The team went out of their way to make sure the groom and I had enough to eat after we missed some of the food service due to photos. Jufel was incredibly responsive to emails in the lead up to the date and everything ran like clockwork on the night. I couldn't recommend these guys enough if you're looking for tasty, reliable, generous food for any event....
