The first thing you should know about this place is that it will cost you $8 to drive you car into the national park here. While there is a car park very close to the Jellybean Pool you may find all the parking full if you arrive later in the day. A few stairs leading down to the Jellybean Pool area but the walking track is very good and well maintained with hand railing most of the way. A sandy beach area is on the bend of the creek and this is where most people choose to sit. The upper section of the pool has large rock boulders in the creek and the water is deeper in this area. Read moreThis place is stunning. I imagine in warmer weather it would be very crowded. But the walk was still beautiful. We went from town which added 15 minutes to the walk and saved the park fee. Lots of wildflowers to look for and little rock overhangs and features. The toilets are at the entrance so go before you descend. The water was icy cold. And I mean icy. I came here on a semi-warm day and it was a bit busy, so I can imagine on a hot day it would be overflowing. I love a nice day in nature and this is a great spot to do it - plus the ranger at the front gate will tell you if there is parking and such before you go in so that's a nice service bonus!
